Happy Thanksgiving, & Thanksgiving & Blogger Questions

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and neighbours in the U.S.!  :) (and to anyone else who may be celebrating Thanksgiving at this time).  We Canadians celebrated our Thanksgiving already in October.  I was wondering, do any of you know why us Canadians celebrate it in October and the U.S. in November?  For my friends and readers in other parts of the world, do you celebrate Thanksgiving?  Thanks!  :)

As far as Blogger templates go, are the amount they have as limited as it seems?  Thanks!  :)

The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire

Blue Moon - Darius Brazdeikis

Hello Dolly - Darius Brazdeikis

Stray Cat Adopts Bobcat Orphans

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  3. I really like the videos you chose.

I just started reading about the history of Thanksgiving in Canada, and Martin Frobisher. Well, I started reading about it after reading your question here. You see, now I'm studying Canadian history because of you. :)

As for the Blogger templates, there appear to be thousands of them that you can install, but I prefer playing with the Blogger Template Designer for hours. The design you have on your blog is adorable, BTW. :)

  10. You can search the web for additional blogger template. You are not limited to what blogger officially offers.
Canadian Thanksgiving is on what used to be known in the US as Columbus Day. As he was the person thought to have discovered the American continent, I think it makes sense to celebrate Thanksgiving on that day. Although I guess it's not very politically correct anymore.

  11. Thanks for visiting my blog. You have an interesting blog and you show such a different life-style. It is summer weather over here in Australia and schools finish for the year in a couple of weeks. I don't think anyone celebrates thanksgiving out here - or at least not now - it is just too busy!

  26. Cara Linda, purtroppo non mi è facile fare da tutti un commento, la ragione è che cerco di seguire centinaia di blog e non sempre mi sento in forma di farlo!!!
Spesso i miei 84 anni mi pesano.
Caio e buona serata cara amica.

  33. My guess for celebrating Thanksgiving in October in Canada is because cold weather/snow in November may keep families from getting together? Though, it's quite cold here in the U.S this Thanksgiving!

  34. Happy Thanksgiving. No, we do not really celebrate it in Malaysia. I like your last picture and quote on the Golden Rule. Lovely. Have a wonderful weekend.

  36. Great stuff today:) On the blogger templates, I am not sure what constitutes a little or a lot. I have actually only only looked at them a couple of times and picked one. I think I lack an artists touch:) In reading various blogs there seems to be distinctive blogs out there?
