I am extremely frustrated right now because I have been trying to change my blog template/background and just can't seem to do it. I tried it on a test blog and made a mess of it. Anyway, I have asked a friend if she can help me, so I hope that she can. I don't know HTML and I am not comfortable with changing templates...I found one that I want that is not a Blogger one so I hope that my friend will be able to help. She knows a lot more than I about Blogger and how to do this stuff, and she knows HTML. I watched a couple of videos on how to do it, and when I attempted to do it following the instructions it didn't work. Oh, well. I hope you all enjoy this post. :)
The videos I have chosen for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Christmas at Titanic Belfast
Just for You - Giovanni Marradi
Telephone Commercial 1950's
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
Hope your friend gets it worked out for you?

My favorite was the telephone commercial!!!
ReplyDeleteWho KNEW 'phones' or 'Land lines' would be obsolete by now??? We only have cell phones......
I change my background every time I post. But I only use the one that blogger provides. I am not sure I could figure out any other kinds.
ReplyDeleteLet the template work, and all will be well in your world. Lovely quotes as always, Hugs, Jean.
ReplyDeleteTout est joli Linda et est un régal. Un bon moment passé avec toi. Bises des Alpes
ReplyDeleteLovely autumn-video!
ReplyDeleteI hope that the template will work
I hope your template will be up soon to welcome the new year. Lovely quotes.
ReplyDeleteCara Linda, credo che sia giunto il momento anche di augurarti un buon fine d'anno e un migliore principio e che il 2015 sia con noi generoso.
ReplyDeleteUn abbraccio forte forte.

Ahhhh!!! Th eold telephone! We had one like that...with a dial.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Linda... I too agree with the quote about the simple acts of kindness... ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the template. Love the wisdom and the laughs.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture of the kitties. I hope everything works out well with your blog design; it's good to have tech-savvy friends!
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! My blog template has remained unchanged since I first started publishing in the summer of 2008. As you know by now, SDM&M is based on the Shady Dell, a hangout for teenagers that I frequented in the 60s. The Dell was simple and basic, a 50+ year old three story brick house with a snack bar at ground level and a nearby barn annex with a jukebox and dance floor. There was nothing fancy about the Dell. It did not change from year to year. It did not undergo renovation and modernization. That's why I have kept my SDM&M tribute blog looking the same all these years.
ReplyDeleteThe item in today's post that I found most interesting was the 50s tutorial on how to use a telephone. As you might have noticed, phone numbers contained only 5 digits back then. Incredible as it might seem, I still remember my 5-digit telephone number from the 1950s. It was 9-8-2-3-6. Can you believe that?
Have a wonderful day, dear friend Linda!
Bonjour Linda,
ReplyDeleteLa musique de Giovanni est si belle et douce..

Oh! Thanks for the gag!
ReplyDeleteThat's all we need on Mondays.
I hope you can rearrange your presentation to your liking. It's all Greek to me, too.
ReplyDeleteYes, Blogger drives me nuts too! I'm not computer-savvy so parts of my blog just continue to stay the same..... Good luck, and I hope your friend is able to help.

The cats on the piano pic is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI've occasionally mused on changing the colours of the headline text on my blog, but can't figure out how to do it.
I hope your friend can help you change the template.
ReplyDeleteThe image of kittes on piano is very cute!
I'm sure your friend will find a solution ! Happy Monday Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, good luck with your template change. I like the blog with 3 photos at the top I am not sure if it is Blogger or not.
ReplyDeleteI like the old phone commercial. Makes me think of my first job at the Quebec Telephone in Gaspe, in the late 1960's. It was on the switchboard and we had party lines.( A lot of people on one line). We had to dial up the number.
Times have changed.
Lots of nice messages today. Sorry about your troubles with blogger, I'm sure your friend will help you get it sorted out quickly! :)
ReplyDeleteFart in elevator, is very nice Linda, I'll go with the stairs.....haha! Greetings from Edward.
ReplyDeleteOh, j'espère que tu vas trouver comment faire, c'est fâchant en effet... Ton amie va surement pouvoir t'aider! Bise et bon lundi tout doux!
ReplyDeleteFunny gag, Linda !
ReplyDeleteHTML is nothing for me... !?
Thanks for the hug ! Send one to you !
The telephone commercial is fantastic. How far we have come! The Giovanni Marradi clip is a beauty. That Golden Rule is always in the back of my mind. We should never take things for granted.
ReplyDeleteThe donkey and the elephant :) lovely. Good luck with the template.
ReplyDeleteI like the Gandhi quote
ReplyDeletei can empathise with the blogspot frustrations ... there've been times when i've wanted to make adjustments too, regarding photo sizes etc, but couldn't figure out how to do it, since i also don't know how to work html. i hope you get the template that you want very soon! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy new year, Linda! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL on the telephone commercial ... good one, Linda
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday
xx
I have had the same template for years. I don't know what I'm doing, so I leave it and just change the background a bit.
ReplyDeleteDeb
I agree with the Go,den Rule. It will make life more lighter and happier. I wish you all the best in your upcoming endeavours on the Blog and in the coming New Year!
ReplyDelete"Be sure you allow the dial to fully return to the finger position."
ReplyDeleteThat's priceless! :)
I love that old commercial/how to use your phone ad from the 50's. I did have an old phone like that at my grandma's where you had the finger stops and actually have to dial.
Sorry to hear about your HTML/CSS troubles, I've been meaning to fix mine too but have been running into frustrating problems as well...and I graduated in Computer Science! I don't know what that says about me. :)
Love your inspiring and fun posts as always, Linda!
Alas, about the time I think I can get comfortable with knowing how to do something online, I find out that I don't.
ReplyDeleteCan't download the videos on my phone, but the quotes are inspirational:)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day my friend:)
Dropping by to wish you a Happy New Year, Linda. Keep up the lovely posts
ReplyDeletehappy new yaer Linda :-)
