Monday Melody

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are:

A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
(A note about these gags.  I know that some of you have seen a negative side to some of these, which are only meant to be humorous and certainly not intending to hurt or offend anyone.  This particular gag...it was done on the onlookers, not on the elderly man who is seated in the chair.  The elderly man seated in the chair is part of the Just for Laughs gag and knew exactly what was going to happen and prepared himself for this stunt.  No harm was done.)  :)

Dear Kitten: Impersona-cat

Ballade pour Adeline - Andre Rieu

Friendly Florida Scrub Jays

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see another view.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share.

  6. Andre Rieu, a big favourite of mine, I could watch and listen again and again. Are you getting daylight earlier, down here it is what we call " The mornings are drawing in" i.e. the sun rises later , it seems to have happened so quickly already as Christmas is only just gone.

  10. I like the one, "Things to Do in 2015" but it got me in "exercise 5 days a week!" I don't see that happening. I listened to Andre Rieu and the orchestra. I think this is what God intended music to sound like! It stirs the emotions. Thank you.

  11. Hi, dear Linda! That piano recital was wonderful. The notes, pure and beautiful, brought tears to people in the audience and to my eyes as well. I loved the video of the tame and friendly scrub jays. They were no doubt hoping for a handout of food. I once raised a couple of zebra finches from eggs to maturity. One of the tiny birds was so tame that it eagerly jumped on my hand every day and allowed me to carry it around the house so that it could gaze curiously out of every window. The Dear Kitten campaign is a big hit and the mirror vignette is the best installment yet. I got a laugh out of the snowy Canada cartoon and loved the artwork depicting parrots. As a boy I had a Mexican double yellow-headed parrot as a pet.

Thank you, dear Linda, and have a splendid Monday!

  31. I loved the gag, Linda! I'm sorry to hear that some gags are viewed negatively. I think we need to relax and laugh more as a society, not take things so seriously. I love how the gags shake up some of our sacred cows with ridiculousness. What I see coming through in a lot of these gags is the inherent goodness in people that surfaces under unexpected circumstances, like the girl jumping in the water to drag out the "drowning" Baptism candidate. And sometimes the gags poke fun at things that make us uncomfortable and then make us laugh, like the clown funeral. So many things! People can always choose not to watch them. I, for one, relish the hearty laughs they elicit from me, especially when I'm really struggling with a down day. And I am struggling today, but I'll get on top of things eventually. Your blog always lifts me up! I hope that you are having a great Monday!
