Although I do like coffee once in a while, my beverage of choice at home is tea. I especially love green tea and black tea in the mornings, and I reserve my herbal teas (non-caffeinated) for the evenings. I love a nice hot cup of mint tea after dinner, I find it satisfying, flavourful and calms and aids digestion.
I am a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person). I have been known to watch movies such as Bambi and E.T. and shed tears. (yes, that is correct). LOL! Movies that I like: To Sir with Love, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Forrest Gump are just a few examples. TV shows that I like: The Andy Griffith Show, Bewitched, The Waltons, to name a few. Thanks so much for listening. :)
The videos I have selected for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
A Moose and His Girl
Harpist Soothes Gorillas, Orangutans with Music
Relaxing Ocean Landscapes over Soothing Music Therapy

Many years ago, we read about Koko and how he communicates. Both Koko and Williams are and were truly beautiful and extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteI also like tea:)
ReplyDeleteIt's great to learn more about you.
ReplyDeleteI love Bambi too!!! The part where the mother was shot was heart wrenching! So sad. I love Tuesdays with Morrie - can watch the full movie on youtube - very nice!
ReplyDeleteSounds like me, I am always the only one that cry at ball game or gymnastic meets when they sing the national anthem. LOL!
ReplyDeletehooo il est attendrissant Koko!

Me too.I drink lots of coffee at work, but never have it at home. There it's always tea. And my mum's favourite movie is the sound of music and I've watched it countless times since I was a child, so I know it like the back of my hand!
ReplyDeleteP.S: I love the new getting to know you aspect of the blog.
Some super cute animal pics today!
ReplyDeleteLove your sayings as always. I only ever drink herbal tea, lemon and ginger is my favourite. Have a good week Diane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and touching videos Linda.
ReplyDeleteLinda, it is great to learn more about you... I also agree with that quote about how disappointments are just God's way of giving us something better and we just need to keep the Faith... xox
ReplyDeletemerci por les informations personnelles Linda...
ReplyDeleteet la dernière vidéo est splendide..
greetings
I too drink tea, normal tea and often have a cuppa before bed, sleep like a log. I like that chicken :)
ReplyDeletelovely post !
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Linda! I'm not the kind of man who keeps emotions bottled up. I am not ashamed to admit that "Sad Movies Make Me Cry" (song title). I enjoy a pot or two of black coffee early in the day and a cup of green tea at lunch. I agree that it seems cruel to have informed Koko the gorilla that her long time friend Robin Williams had passed away. The Koko videos, the girl and the moose and the harpist performing for apes at the zoo all remind us that animals are our brothers and sisters and should be treated with the greatest care and respect, not shot on sight as some ignorant people would instinctively do. I wonder how the apes would have responded to rock 'n' roll music!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thursday, dear friend Linda!
Robin Williams death was such a surprise - he must have been in terrible pain. I do believe that our animal cousins are probably more sensitive than we often realize. Our dogs and cats down through the years could tell when we were sad or happy and often responded accordingly.
ReplyDeleteBonjour chère amie,
ReplyDeleteQue du bonheur le temps passé dans votre univers... Je souris, je contemple...
Merci,
Gros bisous ♡
Good quote about letting there be no excuses, explanations, or regrets at the end of the day. We need to live life to the fullest!
ReplyDeleteLove the animal/people videos, for sure Linda. And that little quote about disappointment with the puppy face...awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat videos and wonderful quotes.
ReplyDeleteCoucou Linda,
ReplyDeleteC'est spécial de voir l'orignal avec la fille ❤
Gros bisous
Manon
Lovely quotes... cool post Linda!!!

Love all the animal videos! We have a lot in common. Tea is also my drink of choice (and I live in coffee land). I'm also known to cry at the drop of a hat at any minutely sad bit of a movie (or Hallmark commercial!) This just means we really care. Happy Thursday to you!
ReplyDeleteThe videos and quotes were all great. Yes I believe animals can sense when someone is hurting. Thanks for sharing more about you. We seem to like the same things. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I'm also an HSP. For me, this often means not letting myself dwell on things said by folks who don't think before speaking. Enjoyed your blog today! John
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't surprise me that gorillas and orangutans would respond to music- they're intelligent, creative, and it's a curious sound to them.
ReplyDeleteLinda on mukava lukea teistä, meillä on paljon samallaisia ajatuksia Minäkin pidän minttu teestä. Kaikki videot ovat hauskoja pidän paljon eläimistä
ReplyDeleteHyvää torstai iltaa Halit .
Wahw..., nice gag, Linda !
ReplyDeleteHi there! I followed you over from Suituapai's blog! Glad I did! It's nice here! Great job on the posts :) love the eye candy AKA the videos and graphics :)

I like green tea also , Linda.
ReplyDeleteLoved the videos with Robin Williams ...
Great quotes today, my favorite is the one with Charlie Brown!
Have a lovely day xx
Had lots of carrot kheer last week :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope Koko will recover from the sad news. Any updates on that?
ReplyDeleteI'm a tea drinker too.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful videos of Robin Williams with us Linda!!
ReplyDeleteThey were incredible and will share them with my family later..... We seem to like the same movies and programs!! I even like Marshall Dillon....sad!! Lol
I do remember someone bringing up the gorilla thing after his death
ReplyDeleteTea is my favorite hot and cold beverage. As a hot beverage I enjoy the full-bodied teas the most -- Earl Gray and other English-style teas. I like cream in my tea, although I put cream in my tea as a treat nowadays as I am trying to shrink my waistline!
ReplyDeleteI get sentimental watching movies and reading books. I recall one time listening to an audio book, while traveling in our car. Good thing I wasn't driving because tears were streaming down my face!
I have been following Koko for many years and had seen the video with Robin Williams. I do believe that animals pick up very much on our feelings, that is why some are so good as therapists, dogs, cats and the like. I remember my dog whenever I was a little sad she would come and lay her head on my lap and look up at me as if to say, it's okay, I'm here for you. No one will ever be able to convince me that an animal does not have a soul. They are often much better at showing their feelings than we are. Great post Linda, thank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteI know animals have feelings, and they are very sensitive to our feelings because of the experiences I have with all my pet dogs. Great quotes, very meaningful.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! Especially Robin Williams and KoKo.. It was so endearing to watch.. I so appreciate the time you spend, looking for the right videos and only selecting the most beautiful quotes.
Thank you so much for your visit and very kind words for Henry.
blessings,
Penny

ReplyDeleteI love drinking tea too. But my tea is made from cooked ginger and lemon grass. I too is a very sensitive person. Nice to know you more Linda. Very touching videos this time.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! Another HSP here...I regularly cry at sad movies too. Bambi was a real tear-jerker!
ReplyDeleteI do like one coffee a day - in the morning, then peppermint, chamomile, ginger and lemon or fennel tea thereafter. Of them all, fennel is my ultimate favourite.
Beautiful videos and quotes! :)
xoxoxo
I'm also HSP and INFP.
ReplyDeleteI have viewed the videos with Robin Williams and the gorilla so far and oh, it is so sad but it also shows the feeling God's precious creatures have. Oh. So. Sweet. I love animals, they are such a blessing.
Bless you Linda! Thanks for sharing such neat things. : )
