Monday Melody

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!

As the new year approaches, I would like to take a classic winter song..."Let it Snow" and ask each and everyone of us to think "Let it go!" when we are feeling angry, unforgiving, sad or upset at someone or something.  Let us try!  Love and hugs to you all!

I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Begin each day with optimism and end each day with forgiveness.  - Doc Zantamata

My daily to-do checklist!  Start and end my day counting my blessings and saying "thank you." Be kind to myself and others.  Don't sweat the small stuff.  Stay away from senseless drama, negative people or any conversation that is not positive, encouraging, inspiring or uplifting.  Follow my heart. Believe in myself.  Do what I love and trust in my journey.  And take time to just breathe...

The miracle is this:  the more we share the more we have. - Leonard Nimoy

Courage: the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can't practice any other virtue consistently. - Maya Angelou

Worry pretends to be necessary, but serves no useful purpose. - Eckhart Tolle

This dangerous bear was hanging out near a food outlet in Fort McMurray.  LOL!  :)  (for those who may not understand the humour in this, the bear in the photo is the A&W bear, which is the mascot of a restaurant chain in Canada and the U.S.)

"Dashing through the snow..."  Jingle Bell Peppers :)

Sometimes, you have to stop being scared and just go for it.  Either it will work out or it won't.  That's life.

Sometimes you won't get an apology or an explanation but that's fine because you are strong enough to move on without it.

Whatever you serve this holiday season make sure kindness is at the top of the menu...including kindness to yourself.

Welcome to Karma Cafe.  There are no menus. You will get what you deserve.

Gratitude is like a magnet...that pulls more goodness towards you.

How to have a happy day.  Slow down.  Take a deep breath.  Compliment someone.  Appreciate small things.  Focus on awesomeness.  Show gratitude. Smile and say "thank you."

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  1. Good morning, dear Linda!

I appreciate this selection of wise sayings. "Don't sweat the small stuff" is a great one. In our motivational seminar training we tagged it with "It's all small stuff." Another great one is "Either it will work out or it won't. That's life." How many times do we stop ourselves from trying because we fear failure? What's the worst that could happen? You fail, you learn a lesson, you go on and do better the next time. Another quote that caught my eyes was "Sometimes you won't get an apology or an explanation but that's fine because you are strong enough to move on without it." How true! It has happened to me countless times. I have learned to stop dwelling on it and go on with my life.

Thank you again, dear friend Linda, and happy Monday to you!

  33. I really need to learn how to slow down and appreciate the peaceful moments! I'm one of those people who is always go go go and how good I feel is based on how productive I've been--I finally took a couple of days off last weekend to decompress and realized that it was actually exactly what I needed!
