Wednesday Wishes and how Christmas will Look on my Blog!

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all!
I know that some people go away and also some people take a blog break at different times, and that some may take a break during the Christmas holidays.  I will not be taking a break, as I just choose not to.  What I am doing, so that you all know, is that beginning Christmas Eve and into early January, I will not be posting any videos on my blog. However, I will continue with the quotations, as I feel that we all need love, encouragement and positivity every day of the year (including myself), so for this reason I have chosen to continue with my blog and not take a break.  My breaks are done in the evenings at home with my cat, relaxing, watch a bit of television, listening to soothing nature sounds and music AND doing my blog, so for myself, doing my blog is a break.  Thank you all so much for being there and I hope that my posts will continue to encourage you, to make you think, smile, laugh, and to see the positive in life.  :)

The videos I have selected for this post are:

People who believe they'll be happy if they go and live somewhere else quickly learn it doesn't work that way.  Wherever you go, you take yourself with you. - Neil Gaiman

Abundance is in what we enjoy, not what we have.

Don't ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive IS the special occasion.

No matter how dark it may sometimes seem...always remember that even the tiniest light dispels darkness.  So shine your little light!

Caution, deer dance off ahead.  If you proceed, please be prepared to "Bring it."  :)

Generosity must be fearless, because to give freely is a vulnerable thing.

Dear awesome friend...please stay in my life forever because you are one of the best things to happen to me.

If someone keeps bringing you down, perhaps it's time to get up and leave.

True story...as time passes, you'll not only be able to see a growth opportunity in whatever is stressing you out right now, you'll also be able to find a bit of humor in it all.

Nobody will protect you from your suffering.  You can't cry it away or eat it away or starve it away or walk it away or punch it away or even therapy it away.  It's just there, and you have to survive it. You have to endure it.  You have to live through it and love it and move on and be better for it and run as far as you can in the direction of your best and happiest dreams across the bridge that was built by your own desire to heal. - Cheryl Strayed

I'm grateful for my challenges because without them I wouldn't have found my true strength.

They say don't burn bridges you may have to cross later.  I say I don't mind swimming if the bridge was messed up to begin with.

Remind someone they are worthy.  Let them know they are enough just as they are.  Be the light in an often too dark world.

Things always have a way of working out, in the right time, with the right person, for the best reason. Keep the faith.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  2. Good morning, dear Linda!

Thank you for letting us know about the changes coming to your blog during the holidays. I'm a lot like you. Blogging is relaxing, satisfying and rewarding to me and I miss it when I need to break away for a while. Today's gag video was another funny one. It amazes me how an illusion can be created using actors, sound effects and a golf ball bouncing across the floor. I enjoyed learning how to make a Christmas candle centerpiece using food items from the pantry. I also appreciated the festive Christmas table decorating ideas. I am already seeing many beautiful holiday displays in stores and in people's homes. The old village in Portugal looks like the kind of place Mrs. Shady and I would love to visit. We both have an eye for European architecture, home decor and the like, along with ponds, pools, fountains, flower gardens and ornamental shrubs. It looks like a lovely vacation setting!

Thank you very much, dear friend Linda!

  4. I seldom take a break from blogging either! It is my journal and I like to have it to refer back to from time to time and year to year! I do keep a handwritten one as well so I am well documented!!!

  10. Your first quote, so true, If you have problems and trouble where you live, moving house does not always leave them behind. Keep the quotes coming, and over the festive season, enjoy your blog, your cat, and your music. That all sounds like a small part of heaven to me.

It's wet here in Singapore. Monsoon brings the rain, but we love it.

  21. Your blog reflects your care for others, Linda. And it's obvious that you put time and effort into choosing just the right things to include. It's always a good assortment, with something for everyone.

  23. Love the bridges sentiment, and the pretty table decoration ideas. Like you, I spend most of my time alone, house-bound, out in the country. As one of your quotes said, I have learned that I can be happy anywhere as long as I'm happy in my heart. Some people do try to rob a person of those types of feelings, claiming it is not normal or healthy. Then I feel sorry for them. Rather than argue or defend myself, I just realize that they are not at a point in their lives where they can feel and experience genuine contentment in just being "themselves". Thank you, Linda, for brightening my life every day! I cannot image how many other lives you touch. I pin lots of your quotes, and probably lots of others do, too. That means the ripples of your caring love end on shores all over the world! XOXOXOX

  25. Loving all the quotes. You put so much time into your blog Linda and give so many different things to look at. My favorite for today is Don't save anything for a special occasion...being alive is a special occasion. I must share that my sweet motherinlove who is no longer with us used to say (as she aged and began to get sick) that she would not save anything for a rainy day! That she would use all of her things she had including keepsake items. That she was not saving anything for special occasions because everyday was a special occasion and that she wasn't even waiting on banana's to turn ripe! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  36. Hi, Linda!
My favorite this time is the video of the Christmas candle decorations! Clever! As I read your blog today, I thanked God that you will not be taking a Christmas break because so many people get depressed during the holidays. You, my dear, are a bright light shining in the darkness and post inspiration and love that reaches out to us hugging us with God's love! May He bless you and reward you!

    Love,
    Mary
