Mid-Week Thoughts

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are:

Dean Martin, Ted Knight and Tim Conway - The Bar

London Based Coffee Carts Help the Homeless

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

I think of the trees and how simply they let go.  Is this a key?  Imitate the trees.  Learn to let go in order to recover.  Remember that nothing stays the same for long, not even pain, psychic pain.  Let it go. Let it all pass. - May Sarton

Hard times will always reveal true friends.

Forgive them.  All of your thems.  The more thems you can forgive the lighter you'll feel.

True peace comes from within.  You cannot find it on the outside, from another person, or in a different circumstance.

Do not fear the winds of change...remember it's all in what you make of it.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  22. I don't remember ever having seen that particular clip with Dean Martin, Tim Conway, and Ted Knight. Too funny. Tim Conway is something else, isn't he?

  23. Hi Linda! Thank you very much for your concern and nice comment. That means a lot!

The three characters in that first video were always some of my favorites. They were each one very talented. Tim Conway probably made me laugh the hardest, but who can forget Ted Knight on the MTM show? And Martin was always great to watch, whether doing standup or in a movie.

We are inundated with Starbucks in this country (and other countries also, from what I hear) but Starbucks coffee is way too strong for me and their food is merely heated up cardboard! :) Just kidding. I thought of a name for the business in the video - Mooncups - a cup will make you glow! :)

  39. So true, I always wanted to be a tree, my favorite book to read to my children is the giving tree. I recently learn that there is this thing called green burial, where you can asked to have your ashes planted with a seed and grow into a tree, that is something really cool, my dream might come true someday!

  45. I'm guessing that you love cats because of the cat artwork you display. We've got a cat that is rapidly declining and I will miss her. Thanks for more inspirational words which are always appreciated and needed.

  46. Just stumbled upon your blog... so happy I did! Loved the post that spoke on the meaning of true friendship. Having recently been faced with the task of making some unwanted life altering decisions, I was blessed with the reminder of what true friendship is all about. Love that Dean Martin/Ted Knight/Tim Conway bit... three comedy legends right there, proving the use of profanity and off color remarks aren't a necessity in order to create lasting and timeless comedy... that and I'll watch anything that has Ted Knight in it! ;) Look forward to checking in with your blog again soon. :)
