Please know that although you might be struggling now, some day you will look back and realize what you went through changed your life in many ways for the better.

Sometimes when one door closes, you need to nail a board over it.

Sometimes you have to die a little inside in order to be reborn as a stronger, wiser you.

Don't miss out on something that could be great just because it could also be difficult.

Be kind.  Stay humble.  Smile often.  Stay loyal. Keep honest.  Travel when possible.  Never stop learning. Be thankful and love always.

Be strong when you're weak, brave when you're scared and humble when you're victorious.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

Canada is so beautiful. I lived in Alaska for almost five years twenty years ago. We drove through Canada on the way back to the lower 48. So pretty.

  22. Such great videos and images. I've never heard of funeral therapy dog before. Animals do have a power to comfort and bring smile...even at a very difficult time.

  23. Well, you did it again, Linda - another fantastic post. I had never heard of funeral therapy dogs, but what a great idea! And what a beautiful dog. That laughing rooster is a riot! But the folks who took 15 dogs to care for until they could be adopted was most touching! Lois Anne won't let me anywhere near a shelter - she knows I'd bring home as many dogs as I could get in the car!

The summer of fun dancing girls was just the right touch this morning - bright and cheery!

It's so bright and sunny and hot here that I'm longing for cool, rainy days!

And finally, I found many of the poster to be right what I needed to hear.

Thank you, too, for your many comments. I appreciate so much your taking the time to visit my blogs and offering your thoughts on the photos.

Wishing you a great Wednesday and hope the rest of the week brings much happiness!

  34. This is such a wonderful post, Linda! I thought the funeral therapy dog video was awesome! Dogs can be so intuitive. They just know. My mother's little long-haired dachshund was such a comfort to her when she was dying, and the moment my mother died, Daxie (who happened to have walked out to the living room) started barking. My special, beloved, and died-too-young friend Dee told me that was Daxie saying goodbye to Mom as her soul left her body. I've never forgotten that!

I would have a dog if I knew I wouldn't be traveling. That shelter video just slayed me. But I love traveling, I almost live to travel, and I know it wouldn't be fair to the dog. So for now, I just have to be content with giving donations to Denver's Dumb Friends League and loving the dogs that cross my path ~ like my sister-in-law's Gracie and Rufus (who now live in Hove, England).

So many wise things in your images today! Thank you for all you do to bring these inspiring posts together. And who knew a rooster could laugh! Sending you a big hug, Linda! You brighten my life always!

  38. Bonjour Linda,
