Monday Warmth and a New Poll!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! I have added a new poll on my blog, which you will find on the right hand column, just under the translator! Your votes are anonymous, even to myself, unless you choose to share your response. Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to participate in this poll! :) The videos I have selected for this post are: The 1940's House - The Dining Room (several of you watched and enjoyed the 1940's kitchen in my last post so I thought I would share this video as well). I hope you enjoy it.
Hero Cat Saves Owner from Potentially Dangerous Seizure
Mom and Son with Autism Create Fairy Houses for Kids
Six Reitmans Commercials (I posted this video quite some time ago on my blog, but some of you may not have seen it, and even those of you who have seen it may enjoy seeing it again) This is a short, 3 minute video, like all the videos I post). Enjoy! It will make you laugh...it makes me laugh. :)

Always remember - be kind, be fair, be honest, be true, and all of these things will come back to you.
Feeling guilty that you got angry is adding another rock on top of the anger. take a breath, observe the anger, accept it, let it go...you'll do better next time.
Most of us do not take challenging situations as teachings. We automatically hate them. We run like crazy. We use all kind of ways to escape. All addictions stem from this moment when we meet our edge and we just can't stand it. We feel we have to soften it, pad it with something, and we become addicted to whatever it is that seems to ease the pain. - Poma Chodron
Hi Linda Love the last quote so true Although I realise we can learn and grow from challenging situations, dealing with the pain always is a hard one Loce the video from how they lived and protected themselves during the war in the 40's and soo love the fairy houses I got one in my garden as well :)
I don't know how you find all these wonderful quotes, but I am grateful. I consider myself a positive person, but these little nudges keep me that way.
Always interesting, funny, touching and a learning experience, too... convenient and easy to get to!!! Thank you, Linda with all my 💗 I loved the "a girl's gotta have options." My eyes held tears on the one about parents. Mine have been gone for many years and the world will never be quite the same~
Hello Linda, did I ever tell you how much I like your words at the top of blog? I’m a 58-year young HSP born in the UK, and I love your blog! Now to look at today’s offerings thank you as always for sharing them. Barbara.
All the houses I lived in during the 40s (let's see, there were five) had dining rooms but in most cases we ate our family meals in the kitchen and used the dining room for company. Love that last poster...it really describes the reality of addiction.
Mornin' Linda, lovely set of videos and sayings. That cat video reminds me of when I was a visiting nurse. I went to visit a patient and found her cat on her chest pressing his paws back and forth. She was in heart failure and I swear that cat was doing CPR (catio-pulmonary resusitation instead of cardio). I got her to the hospital but she eventually passed away in a few days. I will never forget how her cat was trying to help her. Amazing animals. I wish you a beautiful day.
Hi Linda! That video of the mom and the son with autism just melted my heart. I have a nephew with autism, and he loves to hike. He can go for hours! What a beautiful place she has made here, and that she responds to notes just lets you know that her heart is truly in this project. I put a few of your memes on my Twitter account, as always. Love coming here to see what you've found :) Blessings, Ceil
Dear Linda so often when I visit here you have shared a perfect quote or thought. I so appreciate all the wonderful work You do for all your followers. The quote "Today slow down...was just the perfect reminder to savor each moment because there is no promise of tomorrow. Thank you too for the great videos. The Reitmans made me smile too. Hugs!
Whoever Reitmans hires to do their advertising campaigns is hilarious! Humour is really catchy and makes you have a positive opinion of a product I think.
Another lovely post Linda and I filled out your poll. I chose DQ because if we want an ice-cream treat I am rather partial to their peanut butter cup blizzard. Don't really eat a lot of fast food but when we are on a road trip, we sometimes go to MacDonalds as they are everywhere in places you sometimes can't find a stop over
no fast food place should be anyone's fave if you ask me :) In other news, my cats would probably let me die, I don't think they'd ever lift a paw to save me :) But joke is on them, 'cause there would be nobody to feed them after me :)
Hello Linda!:) It was fascinating and humbling to see the way people lived in the 1940's,..we tend to throw away so much food today, and take for granted central heating, and many other creature comforts. They were hard times, but people just got on with raising their families, and pulling together. "You will make it through this and it will make you stronger" seems the perfect quote for the war time years of the 40's, and through my own experiences if you overcome adversity, it usually does. Dear Linda, thank you for the funny fashion Faux pas video, and the inspiring story of the mother and her autistic son, and the lovely fairy houses they made. Linda, I always enjoy, and take away something of value from your blog, but never realized that I wasn't following you until today, so I made it official.X
That's a rather sardonic but true statement Linda. "Humans are the only creatures on earth that will cut down a tree, turn it into paper, then write "save the trees" on it."
i wanted to join in your poll but couldn't find a "fish and chip shop". Shame.
Hi, Linda! This is the place to store up encouragement for sure. I'm facing dental work tomorrow. No fun, but I feel lighthearted just visiting you. Happy early birthday! I pray you will be blessed on your special day and in the year to come! Big hugs to you.
There are so many animal heroes in our world. Love this story about the cat helping his human. I have no memory at all of a Sinclair commercial like this one. I don't remember ever hearing of gasoline with nickel in it. I loved seeing the offer of that little transistor radio. I remember when "filling stations," as we called them, often offered free gifts with "fill-ups."
