Weekend Breather

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are:

Cat Meets Baby and Mama Moose

The Bad Waiter  :)

Why Jellyfish Float Like a Butterfly and Sting Like a Bee

The Lawrence Welk Show - Mack the Knife

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

Celebrate every tiny victory.

Trauma is personal.  It does not disappear if it is not validated.  When someone enters the pain and hears the screams healing can begin. - Danielle Bernock

Believe in your dreams.  They were given to you for a reason.

I love views that make me realize most of my problems aren't that big of a deal.

Allow yourself to be where you are and enjoy it.  The next time you're in the shower, check and see if you are in the shower.  Because you may not be in the shower.  You may be off in the future or off in the past, but you are not actually there under the water feeling the water on your skin. - John Kabat Zinn

If you want to be happy, stop thinking about revenge.  When you stop focusing on other people's unhappiness, you have more time to focus on your happiness.

You don't have to figure out how to solve all your problems right now.  Just figure out what you can do to feel better in this moment.

Anger is heavy.  Let it go.

Sometimes you're taken into troubled waters not to drown but to be cleansed.

Don't let anyone get your tutu in a twist.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  1. Life is better when you are happy. But life is the best when other people are happy because of you.
Be inspired, give peace and share your smile with everyone.
    Have a nice weekend!

  8. I thought the cat stalking the baby and mama moose was so brave until the mama moose walked toward the cat and it fled! Lol! It is so very true about trauma being personal and it can be healed.

  12. That old addage, "Curiosity killed the cat," was almost validated in that cat/moose video. :) I've eaten in a lot of restaurants over the years and have encountered most of those waiters at one time or another. Fortunately, they're in the minority. I'll remember not to let my tutu get in a twist. :)

  13. The quotes today really made me think. I did smile at the waiter video and the cat meeting the moose was idyllic.

  16. So far so good, Linda. Lots of wind and rain but we're far enough inland so we'll be spared the worst of it. Love that cat video...those critters think they can do anything! And that waiter! We've had some like that. I always want to tell them I don't care what their name is or anything about them, I just want them to provide good service! :) Hope you're doing well!

Impressive word. "Anger is heavy.Let it go". I do not like people who get angry easily. Being smile makes people happy. Have a good weekend.

  28. Linda, At least that cat had enough sense to quickly depart when mamma moose came over to check it out! The worst waiters are those that are in your face pushing you or just being way too familiar! Lawrence Welk...ahh...the days of innocence!

My mantras are: "If I can't change it, I don't worry about it" and "It is what it is"...both along the same line of thought.

    Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  29. "Don't let anyone get your tutu in a twist."

Recently a friend of mine was getting quite cross with life happenings. It was also her birthday and I managed to find a card of an adorable hedgehog dressed in a sparkly tutu ... with the message ' hope your birthday sparkles like you do'. She did have a wonderful birthday ... but your Princess Sassy Pants quote did remind me of that day!

    Happy Weekend

    All the best Jan

  34. Linda, thank you for visiting my blog this morning. Your visit to me enabled me to find you.

I used to classify myself as Highly Sensitive Person too. I've been on anti-depressants for a year now, and they have eased that a bit. I'm not quite as sensitive as I used to be, but, still, I am a tender soul, with tender feelings.

When I was a little girl, we used to watch the Lawrence Welk show on Sunday evenings. At least I think it was Sunday. I always loved it. That dancing is amazing!!

    Blessings on your day,
    Patti

  35. Haha! You can tell immediately when that cat stalking the moose decides that discretion is the better part of valour! LOL I always enjoy all of your post, Linda; but the Raphael Vavasseur Art really resonated with me today! Love the girl in the tub ~ reminds me of me in my Grammie's identical tub in Smith's Cove! Sending you lots of love, my cherished friend!
