Never lose hope...the butterfly is proof that beauty can emerge from something completely falling apart.

It isn't the size of the gift that matters, but the size of the heart that gives it.

No matter how big your house is, how recent your car is, or how big your bank account is, our graves will always be the same size.  Stay humble.

Some days I wish I could go back in life. Not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice.

The older I get, the more I realize I just need the simple things in life:  a comfy home, good food on the table and surrounded by the people I love.

Happier days are coming.

Repeat after me:  I am grateful for all I have.

By letting go...it all gets done. - Lao Tzu

Discussions are always better than arguments, because an argument is to find out who is right, and a discussion is to find out what is right.

It's not how big the house is, it's how happy the home is.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  37. Linda, That steer sure loves 'his' buddy the goat and all the other animals too. He's very playful! Can't help but feel sorry for that pit bull... He's had a sad life to date and desperately wants a bit of loving. Quebec City and Montreal are indeed beautiful at Christmas...but I'll never see it! As pretty as they are, I'm not going north in the winter. The less snow I see the happier I am. I totally agree that it's not how big the house is, it's how happy the home is! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  38. That poor pit bull! It was hard to watch him and see the scars on his body and imagine how much he had suffered ~ and then to see him responding to the gentlest touch. Just heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Thanks for sharing the lovely video of winter in Quebec City ~ They certainly know how to make the most of the holiday season. I loved the Power of Positivity quote; I have quite a few things I'd like to go back and experience again, just for the sheer joy of enjoying them again. Sending you lots of love and big hugs, my special friend!

  47. Hi Linda, I love all these positive messages! The butterfly is my favorite, because to me it symbolizes being born again. Here is a link to a blog post I wrote about that, and within it there is a link to a video of dancing to the same theme: http://savedbygracebiblestudy.blogspot.com/2014/03/new-creature.html

  49. Hello Linda, Merry Christmas!

I had pushed preview and I think things were acting up and it never came up so I will try to remember.

The pitbull video reminded me much of our Buddy. He would make those same cute noises and behave much the same way...Very sweet creatures. I hope that pitbull made it into a sweet loving home. He deserves it. These things break my heart.

The calf..Oh how sad at first but it looks like he has a lovely adopted family. So thankful for folks who care for our fur angels. How can we not?

Your quotes are great and that springtime color print by Vavasseur is so pretty, I need to look more of his work up.

I hope you have a sweet and most Peaceful of Christmases.

I wholly agree. And it doesn't matter if we don't get a gift, their presence is enough. x
