Maybe your situation is going to change when you change. - Joel Osteen

Nobody is worth stressing over.  If they want to move on, let them.

When you give someone your full attention it means that in that moment, your thoughts about yourself and your thoughts about that person have dissolved, there is no more separation, all is left is a field of loving awareness.

The reason why some people find it hard to be happy is because they see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be.  Learn to live in the moment and choose to be happy in it!

Life is ironic.  It takes sadness to know happiness, noise to appreciate silence and absence to value presence.

Sometimes locked doors are meant to lead us to open windows.

The key to happiness is letting each situation be what it is instead of what you think it should be.

I have never seen a kind person that wasn't beautiful.

You have escaped your cage.  Your wings are stretched out.  Now fly. - Rumi

Do not confuse my bad days as a sign of weakness. Those are actually the days I am fighting the hardest.

Will we love?  There is not a better long-term option. Just love. - Nancy Rainwater

Each coming moment brings with it hope and potential...the opportunity to chart a new course. Let go of the past, rest in the knowledge that you can always make a new decision, go in a new direction. You really can go home to the true you. - Nancy Rainwater

The constant, consistent and persistent flow of universal vibrations will forever carry us to a place of joy if we allow it. - Nancy Rainwater

Sleep...a chance for your body and mind to rest.  An opportunity for your spirit to rejuvenate.  A time to breathe and be without thinking.  Rest well. - Nancy Rainwater

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always appreciate and enjoy reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  1. I've not made pancakes for some time now. I wish I could make those potato pancakes. I wonder if I could substitute the flour with some other kind of flour so it would be gluten-free.

  9. How can people chain horses like that? Sometimes I despair but then a kind person comes along (thank God). I’m feeling sad now so I will watch more of your videos and I know I will feel better.

  14. "I have never seen a kind person that wasn't beautiful" - wonderful quote!

Thank you for sharing, Linda. Have a nice day :).

  15. That first video is a welcome reminder about how our cousins in the animal kingdom suffer in the same way we do, and they love and feel also in the same way.

The video about barbers was fun...but I'm finding it's very difficult to find a barber who knows how to cut hair like the old-timey barbers. They either leave my hair all ragged or they cut it all off! :)

  16. Happy Monday, Linda. Love the barbershop in Connecticut. What a special place.

  17. Awww on the first video. What an awful thing to do to a horse. What a wonderful thing they did to free the horse. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Now I'm hungry for potato pancakes.

Have a fabulous day, my friend. Big hugs. ♥♥♥

  18. It's a delight to come over here this morning to start my day, Linda. I really like this "will we love" quote. And I enjoyed the Old School Barber video. I've always wanted to visit Italy and experience their traditions, gaze upon the old buildings, and eat their wonderful food.

    Have a splendid week, Linda.

  20. The very first video made me cry so hard, friend L ... reminded me of a young heifer cow, that gave birth to her calf and did not want to accept it ... so I hobbled her (meaning put restraints on her hind feet so she couldn't kick the baby while it was nursing ... mama learned after a week to let baby nurse ... I remember this whole week being just pure hell for everybody involved ... gladly, she accepted baby after that with all her motherly heart ... yeppers ... tears ... anyway, wishing you a very happy Spring, friend L ... Love, cat.

  22. Always the greatest pleasure to visit here Linda :) The horse video almost brought me to tears, so glad there was a heartwarming ending. Will have to try the potato pancakes. I have never made them. It would be lovely to have that kind of barbershop in our neighborhood. It would be very popular :) I also enjoyed the mint box organizer. I recognize its shape and keep one of those in my purse. As for those wise words, always love those. Thank you my friend, have a great week :)

  29. Linda, Sweet video about the horse being freed from that chain! Love watching horses run wild in a field... I haven't been to an old fashioned barbershop in a bijillion years. My better half is an ex-hairdresser/beautician and I'm the only customer she has...so I'm getting plenty of wisdom and advice...and I'd better pay attention too! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  41. Those potato pancakes look so good! Yes, i should know better than to watch such things when i'm hungry.

The comment about your situation changing when you change reminds me of the boss who told an employee your raise is effective when you are!

  45. The video about the hobbled horse was so distressing. I don't know how people can be so cruel to animals. At least the vet helped! Kudos to him. The potato pancakes looked delicious. It's true ~ My bad days are when I'm fighting the hardest ~ powerful quote. Have a good one, dear Linda! More love and hugs coming at you!
