  10. I'm not sure I could ever live alone in a town/village, or in a place of two people. We are 'social animals'. Even if we like to be lonely in our home, we prefer the outside society to be full of people.

    As for today's sayings:
Faith, indeed, doesn't spare one the trials in life, but does help one overcome them, and that's fair enough.
Sadly, Life is not so simple, and what you give (love for instance) doesn't always come back to you, and that's greatly frustrating.

  12. Hi, Linda! Hope your home-search is offering hope, and that you soon find something. Your quotes and simple thoughts are beautiful this fine Monday morning. Don't you just love how quickly the animals became dependent on the "water man"? I often wonder how much we instigate evolutionary behavior patterns in the animal word, without realizing how much we cause them to be different. Interesting! Have a lovely week, my kind Canadian friend! xx

  15. Liked the videos. The shifting populations in large countries like America fascinates me as we don't get extremes to that extent here, probably due to different state funding for people out of work. Liked the water one as well.

  18. Bless the man for bringing water to the wild animals. What a wonderful thing to do.

Love the surfing dog. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Eating healthy is not so easy for some. I knew all of this and am very careful what I eat and I always eat a well balanced breakfast and lunch. I'm rarely starving when dinner rolls around. It has served me well.

Have a fabulous day, Linda. Big hugs. ♥♥♥

  19. It's nice to know there are people like the water man who delvers water to those animals affected by a drought. Such an incredible person he is.

  28. A heartwarming post today, Linda! I enjoyed each of the videos, and I found the quotations inspirational. I do believe that what you give out comes back to you; but, I also believe that you shouldn't give in expectation of receiving. I just try to be a positive influence because I'm happier with me that way. And sometimes I really fall short ~ LOL Sending you love and hugs, my friend!

  32. Linda, Bringing water to the animals has to be gratifying...and what a great way to see animals up close and personal... Hopefully that drought is just seasonal! I've seen Tillman the surfing and skateboarding bulldog on TV. He sure enjoys himself! As far as dieting goes, my wife and I are following the "Delay, Don't Deny" diet. We only eat during one 4 hour window per day...and once we got used to it, hunger, craving and energy levels haven't been a problem. She's down about 45 lbs. and I'm doing well too but I started it much later. Thanks for the information about Monowi and Gross NE. Our family lives in Omaha and we love exploring the back roads and small towns in the USA and Canada. These towns are right up our alley! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
