Why There is a Pool of Oil on Top of Peanut Butter

The greatest kindness is often shown in letting things go. None of us is perfect but we can all be perfect friends and perfect partners by allowing those that we love to be imperfect. - Neale Donald Walsch
Humming Birds and Great Danes ... I have known both ... plus the chickadee coming to my hand, when ever I whistle ... Lovely post, friend L ... Thank you ... Always, cat
Dear Linda, firstly, I must just say I was relieved and happy to see your goal on the Go Fund me page was reached. There are some lovely people in the world, and I’m glad they could help you. I love the Hummingbird video; they really are like perfect little jewels. My granny Daisy had a Great Dane. They are such funny dogs, but sweet with it. Have a lovely week.
Dear Linda - the video of the hummingbirds is superb! I wouldn't get anything done if I had that many flitting about. Just love to watch them. So glad too for the tip on natural peanut butter - dealing with the oil sounds simple now. Thanks for a great post sweet friend. Hugs!
Hi, Linda! I really loved the hummingbird and eclipse videos! Just beautiful! My favorite quote today was "People lie. Actions don't." I find that sometimes I lie to myself about what I want to do, and then I find myself through my actions doing what it is that I truly want to. I've learned to watch what I am actually doing!!! Have a good day, my cherished friend.
Los vídeos del colibrí y el gran danes muy bonitos, en el del colibrí una manera muy fácil de hacer un buen reportaje. El del eclipse muy recomendable mejor ver así que en vivo sin protección.
Hello Linda, Happy Monday and my good wishes for the coming week. Another great selection here. I enjoyed the eclipse video and a great selection of quotes, especially the Charles Darwin one.
I don't see the oil in a jar of peanut butter anymore these days but when I was young, we had that without fail - I remember the brand - Pied Piper made in South Africa and we would have to use a chopstick to stir and mix the oil with the peanut butter right after opening a new jar.
Linda, Love hummingbirds...but I can't imagine attracting 200 of them at once! At best we end up with 3 or so...and they tend to fight each other. One actually got stuck (bill first) in one of our screens. My wife freed him. She also revived another one by stroking his/her breast after the bird had hit a window. As for the solar eclipse, we were right on the line of the total eclipse and viewed it with a bunch of friends. Love great danes but they tend to live a short life. They do consider themselves lap dogs... Thanks for the tip on the storage of natural peanut butter. The reason we haven't bought it is that messy oil at the top. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I love Great Dane video, sch a funny dog and he brightens up the lives of the people he meets. Great quotes as always, you can always find inspiration in them and things to think about. Have a wonderful week Linda and thanks for sharing.
I've often wondered why there is a pool of oil on top of peanut butter. I've always thought it was because it was natural - a sign that chemicals have not been used. I so love peanut butter.

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Linda. Interesting about peanut butter. I do try to buy the 95% peanuts without the added sugar in so many. Thanks for the info.
