While there were some negative events during the 60's like there are with every decade, I am focusing on the positive part for this post.
I am sharing some photos that will hopefully spur your memories back to the 1960's.

Nice one Linda.
ReplyDeleteI was a kid in the 60s! Thanks for sharing these reminders!
ReplyDeleteI was a teenager in the 60's! And I actually tie-dyed shirts very much like this! Along with doing macrame, wearing Love Beads, and going to see the Beatles and other bands of the day. I still listen for the British invasion songs on the radio on weekends.
ReplyDeleteJe suis née en 1959, j'étais petite mais je sais que les années 60 étaient de bonnes années. Merci de nous montrer ces belles illustrations.
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
I love that VW van - it was a dream of mine to travel through Europe on a VW van - that was the big thing to do back then. Never made it though.
ReplyDeletePeace, baby! Our kids grew up in the 60s. It was a tough time for them. Drugs were pervasive. But they all made it. I think it may be tougher now. But the 60s not only meant hippies, etc., but also the civil rights movement which made some great strides in those years. At the same time we lost M.L. King, Jr., J. F. Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, among others. Lots of very emotional events occurred.
ReplyDeleteThe Volkwagon was the family vehicle. We used to go camping and used it instead of a tent ... after removing the seats. Great fun.
