My topic for today is vintage magazines. Not sure if any of you are collectors or not; perhaps you have some fond memories of one or more magazines from days gone by.
Here are some photos of vintage magazines that I hope you will enjoy.

And if you use DISQUS for accepting comments on your blog I don't have that, either, nor do I want it. Thanks!
I don't recall any of these, but I'm sure the magazines of my youth would be considered "vintage" today 'cause everything else from my youth is termed either vintage of antique! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to add that I really appreciate that you take the time to check out our blogs and I want to thank you for your kind comments. Hope that headache goes away!
ReplyDeleteThose magazines are all "new" to me. It would be interesting to read them, to see har far that we have progressed (or not)
ReplyDeleteI love the way your change your header so often, you are like me that way. I don't remember any of these magazines! Perhaps they were before my time. I remember Life and Look. But I DO remember when the T.V. Guide was fifteen cents and the other women's magazines were about a quarter!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any but I love to look at them. The only vintage anything that I have is a collection of old musical sheets that my Dad collected for playing the piano.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to turn the pages of one.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda,
ReplyDeleteGreetings and good wishes.
Lovely magazines. Not seen them. But they are very special. They remind us how cheap things were in the past and money had more purchasing power. Now although we earn much more money, the purchasing power has eroded drastically. The books also reminds me how much we have progressed over the years and how technology has changed our lives sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.
I hope your weather changes and wish you a wonderful day.
Joseph
Hi Joseph,
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by and for your comment. I really appreciate it.
your blog is like a magazine! :) my all time fave was Victoria Magazine..wish it never went out of business..
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, thanks so much, my friend. :) Oh, I remember that magazine! I loved the photos, it was like sitting down and taking a trip back in time over a cup of tea. So that's what happened to it.
Deleteyes i use to work with a lady in a florist..she was retired from the paper..she told me all about some of the issues she was on. I had still had some of my Victoria mags back then and showed her them..she got tears in her eyes that i was so touched by their work. She was in her late sixties then..i wish we had kept in touch. <3 i love your line taking a trip back in time over a cup of tea!! we think the same way! :)
DeleteHi everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to visit...and for your comments. It makes my day.
