My father's mother was born in Dover, Kent, and his father was born in Dartford, Kent. From the photos I have seen, Kent is a really beautiful place! If I ever do get the opportunity to visit there I have a feeling that I wouldn't want to leave!
I know very little about genealogy, but I am fascinated with discovering about my grandparents and great grandparents. Thankfully I was able to obtain some information thanks to some very kind people whom I have never met via the internet as far as the names and birthplaces of my great grandparents. Since my parents died when I was in my 20's and they really didn't tell me anything about their families, I decided to try and find out what I could via the internet and thankfully some people were able to help me...and I really appreciate their kindness!
The photos I am sharing here are all in Kent, England...I will specify the actual area in which they are, and these are photos I found via the internet.
Dartford....
What a lovely place. Beautiful photos. Have a blessed weekend.

ReplyDeleteI love the white cliffs and that pretty green hotel...I want to stay there! My great-great grandfather came over here from England on a tramp steamer. I believe he was the cook.
ReplyDeleteI would like to go there, it has the Kent birdlife, I can't think a place like it. Your pictures are very excellent.
