Hi everyone! The video I have chosen for this post is a delightful, colourful video that I think people of all ages will enjoy! It is a catchy tune and worth a few minutes to watch.
April is usually a rainy month. I think it is good to remember the old saying, "April showers bring May flowers."
I thought I would use this post to share a few things about myself.
1. I have always loved the rain, ever since I can remember. I like the sound and fresh smell of the rain and the rainbow we sometimes see that comes with it.
2. I love to do crossword puzzles. Not just crossword puzzles but the mixed ones such as Syllacrostics, Cryptograms and some others. If a puzzle is too difficult I get discouraged and frustrated. If it is too easy it isn't a challenge, so the puzzles need to be somewhat of a challenge for me to really enjoy. Sudoku doesn't interest me, as I like word games.
3. I am fascinated by some of the technology out there...but a bit uncomfortable with it. Cell phones, iphones, you name it. When I learn something new I need time to absorb it. I am a deep thinker and a visual person. For example, I am much better at watching someone do something...and learning that way than reading manuals and trying to figure out how to do it through the manual. However, this really depends on how well the manual is written and if there are easy to understand step by step instructions that I can follow. I have noticed, though, that I learn a lot faster by watching...and with a patient person, and on my own, than any other way.
The photo I am sharing today is one I took a couple of years ago on a walk...in the rain. I have no idea what these flowers are, but they were soft and beautiful. You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.
These flowers are so unusual, I don't think I have seen any like them! My best learning technique is always watching someone else do it, and I love sleeping when it rains.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my place today and leaving your lovely comment. I'm so happy because now I have found you and am your newest follower. Love your place!

that is one very beautiful shot of the purple flower, i love rain too, and very much a visual learner as well.
ReplyDeleteI love rainy days IF I don't have to work in them.
ReplyDeleteThe video was really cute.
I love the rain, too!!! Actually I love ALL sorts of weather except the extreme heat and we get a lot of that here in Texas! I have never been injured or even threatened in storms so I guess that's why I can love them so. The scariest one was 2 years ago and it was HAIL. The hail was HUGE and did a tremendous amount of damage to our house, car and property. We actually hid in a closet! Rain is the best! Have you gone walking in the rain? I have and I love it!
ReplyDeleteI usually enjoy the rain, too, especially because we need it so much around where I live. We've been in a drought for a while. I love the smell of rain, too. It's such a fresh and earthy scent.
ReplyDeleteI like crossword puzzles and Sudoku. I go through spells where I really get into Sudoku.
Thanks for sharing about yourself!
I love rain when I was young! Now the unpredictable rain spoil my plants and I'm a bit upset! ;)
ReplyDeletePretty soft purple flowers!
Pretty purple flowers! Young time, I use to play in rain too!
ReplyDeleteMe gustó el vídeo y me recordó a un personaje de Los Picapiedra. Las flores no las conozco, pero parecen algún tipo de crisantemo. Un abrazo,
ReplyDeleteI liked the video and it reminded me of a character from The Flintstones. Flowers do not know them, but they seem a kind of chrysanthemum. A hug,
I too prefer to learn by watching. I am definitely a visual learner.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
I love Sudoku and even have it on my iPad!
ReplyDeleteI love the breeze and the smell on the air as rain is coming in. Nothing like a tin roof overhead to hear the pitter patter of it coming down.
Your purple flowers are Ageratum and are in the Aster family.
Wow! Funny video, beautiful flowers!

ooo, i have to confess that i'm terrible at crossword puzzles. i just don't have the kind of brain for it, heh! i'm also bad at word games like scrabble :D
ReplyDeleteApril showers are much needed and I'm hoping we both get sufficient rain to bring about a rich, lush spring and summer! Thanks for sharing some of your thoughts. You are, indeed, a deep thinker. I'm also a lover of crosswords, but Sudoku holds no interest for me.
ReplyDeleteWhat frustrates me about technology is that I really don't understand it. It's amazing but I have no clue. And it changes so fast. Buy a new computer in a store, walk out the door and it's already obsolete!
Thank you, dear Linda, for all your nice comments today. They are much appreciated. I'm back, sort of, but my posting and commenting may be a bit sporadic for awhile.
Hope all goes well with you and that you have a week filled with happiness and lots of good photos!
This was fun learning a little bit about you. A lot of the things you said reminded me of myself. I also enjoyed the video. I love the rain too and have no problem walking in it, unless it is a torrential downpour. A good Virginia summer rain can be a little bit like a mini monsoon :)
ReplyDeleteI love cryptograms too. I agree that it's no fun it they're too hard or too easy. I get one every day in the newspaper and another one online every morning from www.dailycrytogram.com/.
ReplyDeleteThere is a good variety and I really look forward to them. Some days I'm not sharp enough in the morning so I go back later in the day to work it.
1. I love the sun, Linda !
ReplyDelete2. I love Sudoku !
3. I love you, your blog, your photo's...
Lie(f)s.
Thank you for your visit and kind comments to my blog Linda.
ReplyDeleteI also like your blog and photographs and I must look in depth in it.
I promise to come back again soon.
Take care.

Hi Linda; nice to meet up with you and thank you for visiting my blog too. I enjoyed your post and totally understand what you wrote - I also am a visual person - as to the flower, it appears to me to be an ageratum; beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, Thanks for your visit. I’m delighted to meet you. Cute, cute, cute blog post. Love the little song, and yes it is a catchy tune. We’ve had a lot of rain here lately and we are happy to see the sun come out.
ReplyDeletePlease do stop in anytime for a visit.
Happy Week.

Hello from Sicily. A delightful post and I love the rain too!
ReplyDeleteNow we also have the good fortune to find more or less good video tutorials on Youtube.
ReplyDeleteLove the rain. Thank you for visiting! Have a great week!

Thank you all so much for your comments, I really appreciate it! Thanks, too, to Carletta and Carole for telling me the name of the flowers in my photo.
ReplyDeleteThose purple flowers are so pretty -- they remind me of the Mimosa tree's pink powder puff flowers! I love crossword puzzles too -- any kind of word puzzle or game, in fact. Now the rain -- I must say that I am not a fan though we certainly need it! I do love a rainbow though!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you stopped by my blog today -- hope you'll visit again!
I enlarged the shot and realized the flowers are awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I really liked this picture! I like this blog quite a lot.
