The photo I am sharing today is one that I took a few years ago. I was taking a nice walk in a park when I saw a heron. You can see the bird in the tall grass. They birds stand so still, like statues, so it was a pleasant surprise for me to see the bird. You just need to click on the image to see a larger view.

Well, that video made me smile. And it looks like there are an infinite number of variations on the theme. Not sure I would invest in such a thing but it's very interesting to watch going down the river!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine always wanted to live on a houseboat and travel the Intercoastal Canal, but he died before he got the chance. (I don't think his wife would have let him do that anyway!) :)
The blue heron is one of my favorite birds and we are blessed with many of them in this area. It is a nice shot!
Glad to hear about your ankle. Sounds as though your week has started off well!
A lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteI've never gotten one to stay still for me.
I never used Google Reader. I'm pretty sure it's already gone.
Your reading list on your dashboard should stay.
Amazing, serve as a small hotel room both on the road and off the road in the waters !
ReplyDeleteInteresting clip. Glad your ankle is doing well.
ReplyDeleteI get confused with what comes and goes with our blogs LOL...some of the changes are for the best...I guess. Your videos are interesting to watch. Thank you for taking the time to post them for us. I am glad your ankle is better especially with good weather on the way. :)
ReplyDeleteI did like the video....such a handy device!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that your ankle is better...it's so miserable when in pain when you walk.
The heron is so stately and beautiful! I'm so glad your ankle is better.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I'm going to do about the Google changes. I've heard of Bloglovin' but don't know much about it.
I love the shot of the heron.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that the reader list stays on the dashboard.
Praise God about your ankle! So glad to hear that news.
ReplyDeleteThe "houseboat" is too cute. I wonder how many of them were sold and enjoyed.
Beautiful bird. You did well to capture such a great shot.

The heron is very well hidden! I thought the Google reader was already gone, I know lots of Bloggers are really upset.
ReplyDeleteLovely video.. And nice picture of Heron. A regard from Madrid..
ReplyDeletei've actually never seen a heron in real life before. i hope to someday :D am really happy to hear about your ankle. and i think the blogs on your dashboard will be maintained by google, it's just that they're discontinuing their Google Reader feed, which is separate and also used by some for blog-following...
ReplyDeleteI worry when they make those changes because I'm a computer putz and can't figure out how to keep things from getting lost.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful heron, you've been lucky enough to photograph.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard, that Google close the blog service.
