He seems to be maybe Greylag goose, we have a few around here, but I have not gotten shots as good as these.

Hippos are not pretty animals but that baby is kind of cute. Sometimes when I see animals, it makes me glad I was born a person rather than something like a bird who has to hunt for bugs and worms all day - - and live outside all the time. I know that sounds weird.
