You've brought back more morose for me today.
ReplyDeleteI loved Shirley Temple movies and wated to be her. The Good Ship lollipop was my favorite song. When she smiled you wanted to smile too.
I'm constantly reminding myself to go out earlier or much later in the day to avoid the harsh sun. It isn't always easy but worth trying. :)
I certainly did enjoy these Linda and thank you for sharing another lovely post.
ReplyDeleteI am still in Germany but wedding celebrations are now slowing down and for the first time since arriving I have been able to do some long overdue comment moderation. It has been lovely visiting. I still have a few more days being with my family and will be making the journey home in a few days. Back to doing a little sight-seeing tomorrow in the meantime.
I know what you mean about light and photography...there are things I see...but the light is wrong...
ReplyDeleteShirley Temple was one of a kind, for sure. She had such a perky demeanor that you couldn't help but smile with her.
ReplyDeleteYour first photo is definitely the best. I like it very much. The others show promise, but the glare of the sun on them was hard to overcome.
I think if you want to avoid the overexposure you can experiment with where you are standing to find more shadow and less light. The beauty of digital cameras is you can throw all the pictures that don't make you happy right in the trash at no extra cost.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I always enjoy looking at what you stopped to take pictures of.
Bonjour,
ReplyDeleteUne jolie vidéo... Il n'est jamais simple de jouer avec la lumière d'automne... De belles photos tout de même. La première est réussie.
Gros bisous
It is true that I love the first picture the best. I have found out that when you are shooting into the sun, there is a camera option called Fill Flash that helps. There will never be anther Shirley Temple,I think I have seen all of her movies. There was even a Shirley Temple doll and paper dolls. Boy am I OLD!
ReplyDeleteSo true about learning how to photographe in light!
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty evergreen branches. I'm your newest follower! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, RW & SK
oh, the brightness does affect the photos, but i think you still did a great job! i have trouble with brightness levels for food pictures sometimes too :D
ReplyDeleteSe on totta että kauneus on katsojan silmässä.minä tykkään sinun kuvista ja musikista Kiitos Linda näistä:)
ReplyDeleteBaby Face brings back musical memories of covers of the song by Little Richard and Bobby Darin, both classics.
ReplyDeleteShirley Temple's a young 85 year old now.
Love the pictures Linda.
Fantastic light and colors, beautiful photos my friend ¡¡
ReplyDeleteShirley Temple was a child star who touched the hearts of everyone. I really enjoyed Baby Face.
ReplyDeleteToo much light is a no no when taking photos, I think it's worse than too much shade because it's easier to lighten dark images.Love the first photo though.:)
I'll have to email this post to my mother if you don't mind. She loves watching Shirley temple to this day!
ReplyDeletej'aime ces branches de verdure, le parfum devait être agréable aussi. merci Linda
ReplyDeletenatural light is everything, when you are taking pictures. it is either your best friend or your worst enemy!! you have a good eye, i really like the evergreens. learning the light is almost as much fun as learning photography!!
ReplyDeletei learn new things every single day. a lot of the things i learn are from the blogs of others!!
Evergreens are very abundant here but I love them dearly...especially when all the other trees have lost their leaves and winter has us in it's grip.
ReplyDeletefine bilder og nice song !
ReplyDeleteLove the video Linda she was a little beauty..The first photo is good. :)
ReplyDeleteEsos tonos verdes de las fotografías se agradecen porque, en pocos días, comenzarán a dominar los ocres y rojizos propios del otoño, que también tienen su encanto. Un abrazo,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Linda! Green is the true colour of nature and always fill me with relaxation.
ReplyDeleteNatural light is best indeed, can make or break. First time I've heard that song too, I think
ReplyDeleteLind a, I love Shirley Temple , thanks so much for sharing that video :)
