Excellent clip with some very nice jaunty music ! I'd read that falcons are used in this way - good news for safety.

Nice shots of the church and an interesting video too. Yesterday I was in Ely where I spotted a very realistic model of a falcon which was being used to keep pigeons away from....wait for it....a church! Falcons (real ones) are also flown over the tennis courts at Wimbledon every morning to dissuade pigeons from 'blessing' Andy Murrray et al.

ReplyDeleteIsn't that an amazing job for the Falcons, here they scare off pigeons from money making public sights in Paris. I've become fascinated with this bird ever since having one sit next to be from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to London, England with his owner of course :-) Nice photos, glad you were able to get out and about...

ReplyDeleteI managed to get this to play eventually with our slow connection!!! That is not a falcon, I suspect it is an eagle of some kind. I used to do falconry, they are much smaller than this bird so not sure why they should call them falcons on the header! Beautiful bird none the less. Love the church. Have a good day. Diane
