I wanted to ask you all a question, which may be complicated, so please bear with me. O.K., for those of you who have Google+....do you like the interface? Do you find it user friendly? Do you find navigating between Google+ and Blogger relatively smooth? When you updated to Google+, does your comments box on your blog change so that only Google+ users can comment? See, I have NOT subscribed to Google+ because I have the fear that, if and when I do, that only Google+ users will be able to comment on my blog. I don't like this! I prefer giving my readers a chance to comment, so long, of course that the comments are family friendly, and not spam in nature, which is why I moderate all comments. I have noticed that many Google+ users are doing this on their Blogger blogs (only allowing Google+ users to comment on their posts), and I think it is a shame. Not only do I feel it is unfair to other Blogger users who do not have Google+, but I think they are closing the capacity for some really good people to comment on their blog. And, to be honest, I do not like to be forced to upgrade to Google+ or anything else just so that I can comment on someone's blog (or for any other reason other than the fact that I choose to use it myself). Thanks in advance for your feedback. :)

ReplyDeleteC'est très BEAU !
GROS BISOUS pour toi chère Linda !
Bon début de semaine !!!! (•ิ‿•ิ)✿
I, too, am reluctant to hit that GOOGLE + button. Call me old fashioned but change is hard. And I have some blogs I 'follow' but they don't come up in my feed and I have to search for them......and I don't like that I can't find them easily and comment. I don't always have the time to hunt them down......
ReplyDeleteI do not use google+, it is too modern for my taste.
ReplyDeleteLovely sea route -video!
Hello Linda,
ReplyDeletethe last picture is my private favorit!!!
I wish you a nice Monday
moni
I haven't changed over to Google+ ... I have an account and I like it... however; like you, I didn't want to make it harder on people who comment... so not sure if it is a good idea or not...
ReplyDeleteLovely sayings.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on Google+. I don't like being forced to use it. Can't see the point of the + at all. I don't like the layout or anything about it actually. I had it once with another user name and deleted it.
"Stay humble, work hard, be kind" is great advice, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI switched over to Google+ for a while but now I'm back to blogger; I think switching to Google+ was a mistake for me. It does seem to make it harder on commenters, plus it switches you to a no-reply blogger so people can't reply by email to your comments.
Hi Linda, Thank you so much for your comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI don't really use Google + either, so I don;t know much about it myself.
Thanks for posting that funny video it made me laugh this morning!
i don't use google+, so i can't help, but i hope you find a solution to your question. in the meantime, i love the quote on cultivating a peaceful presence, very relevant to me today :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know enough about all this technology to give you a good answer. My computer path is very narrow and when I get off that path I have to call for help! Hope you find the answer to your question. Have a great day and I enjoyed your post.
ReplyDeleteje n'utilise pas G+ ..Linda...
ReplyDeleteune belle quote de Voltaire
yes I think it's user friendly, no problem from my side.
ReplyDeletenice videos!

I am wordpress so I am not sure how it works with Blogger but when I go on to a website where there is something to do with google + it generally has no option to type in your URL or have the person find their way back to you or your website. Here you have that option : )
ReplyDeleteI'm also an old fashion blogger. Altho I've G+ a/c, I don't interact there. I still enjoy visiting a post like this & typing my comments here. It seems more personal for me, Linda. Happy week, dear! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLuxury Haven
first I've heard of the rush hour game
ReplyDeleteI'm also a Blogger holdout. I've seen other blogs that have made the switch to Google+ and it's hard to leave a comment. I want to make it as easy as possible for my readers to leave comments, so I've stayed on Blogger.
ReplyDeleteI have Google+. I still gets lots of comments from folks other than Google+ followers. And Google+ commenters appear in my email as well as on Google+. Maybe it has to do with the way your comments are set up? I'm not a techy, so probably just lucky that it's working out okay for me.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed all the videos and all the quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteI have it as an option on my blog, but it's wide open for commentors other than google+. I'm content with blogger as it is.
ReplyDeleteThe Voltaire quote and pic are priceless.
Bonjour Linda,
ReplyDeleteJe ne peux t'aider je ne suis pas sur google+... Le vidéo qui a attiré mon attention est celui de Tokaido, c'est très Zen et exotique, j'aime beaucoup!
Bisous

Some how I got conned into that G+ thing and almost for a year my blog posts were simply in limbo, like some one put it in an attic. They were even not visible when some one does a Google search !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut I refused to comment through the G+ thing.
Finally after about an year, things started falling in place and things came back to normal (without me doing anything)
Really weird.
I love above all the last sketch :)

wish you a nice week :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't have Google+, Linda, just my blog (Skynet), and I'm happy with it.
ReplyDeleteFairness is a great thing -> gag !
Dunno these things... I'm not on Google+, I am sure. Any problem commenting in my blog?
ReplyDeleteBlogger has this captcha...prove you're not a robot thing - quite a nuisance as some of the letters are rather difficult to figure out...and may take a few attempts, waste of time for well-intended folks who drop by and would want to add a comment.
Let me post another comment...
DeleteOk...the captcha for that comment was: axchil 273
DeleteI posted the status regarding this on Facebook and many of my blogger friends all came and declared that they had disabled it long ago, that they did not have it in their blogs. I told them that they did and they did not know that it had been restored automatically. Then they tried to disable it but somehow they could not/did not know how…so till today, they still have it in their blogs and anyone who wish to comment will just have to go through it – so in their cases, it is not by choice and perhaps it’s the same in your case too.
DeleteI used to belong to Google+, but I hated it so I reverted back to blogger a few months ago. I I like it so much better because when you click on my picture, it provides a link back to my blog. Google+ isn't set up that way and I'm still unable to link to blogs I would love to visit. As always, I enjoyed your posts... :)
ReplyDeletej'aiun compte google + mais j'aime bien que tout le monde puisse aller sur blogger sans obliger d'aller sur google+
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup l'image de la jeune femme et les chats
bonsoir Linda
Un petit bonjour chère Linda !!!
ReplyDeleteGROS BISOUS et bonne continuation. (•ิ‿•ิ)✿
I do not use google+, so I can not answer your questions. I'm sorry!
ReplyDeleterush hour .. one of my favourites too! :-))
Hello Linda. I tried Google+ but switched back after a while as I couldn't get on with it. I prefer keeping my blog as simple as possible which is not easy when Blogger keeps changing. I would love more people to leave comments on my blog, but have set it to moderate them as I don't want unsuitable ones to come straight onto my blog. I hope you're happy with the decision you make about Google+. Have a peaceful day.
ReplyDeleteOnce (or if), you make a G+ page you'll have a choice of to make it so only G+ can comment on your blog or if everyone can.
ReplyDeleteMy husband runs both his blog and G+ without much trouble. Hope you find the answers you're looking for.
I have Google+ but I don;t know how to use it. ....not sure how to link with blog too :(
ReplyDeleteI am not on Blogger, but did create a Google+ page for my blog, as the way I understand it, it is the best way to have your blog found on internet searches. I am not crazy about it, and I think it is a pain!!!
ReplyDeleteGood questions Linda! And good responses from your readers.
ReplyDeleteGoogle + is confusing to me. And like Bethany Carson said, it appears to change to to a "no reply blogger" when you comment on a blog. (By the way, are you aware that you are a no reply blogger? Meaning, your email address is not attached to your comments? Some like it that way, but others don't know that it can be changed so that you can get personal responses to your comments in your email in box.)
Anyway, I don't know if I'm on Google + or not. I did something with youtube recently and was surprised to find a welcome to Google + note in my email. Immediately, I went to my daughter's computer and pulled up my blog. The format hadn't changed. Whew!
