What's the difference between a stumbling block and a stepping stone? The way you approach it.
Let the opportunities of today wipe away the failures of yesterday.
I have been told that I am very observant. I tend to notice things around me and in people that others sometimes miss. I am always looking for the beauty around me, both in things and in people. I am easy to please in that it doesn't take much to make me happy. I think that over the years I have learned that happiness must come from within, and not have to depend on things or people. If we are happy with little and appreciate the small things in life, life becomes more beautiful. Well, this is how I see it. Thank you for listening. :)
The videos I have chosen for this post are:
A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Soothing Bath Soak with Oat and Lavender
Es Pokat (Thirsty for)
How to Build an Outdoor Zen Garden Water Fountain
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.
I love lavender! And I like oats, too. But I think today the bee plants are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has tried to convince me that we should not dig out the dandelions in the front yard because it is good for bees. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBonne journee, Linda ! ☺
Happiness is what is happening inside us. Lovely quotes, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your thoughts on happiness. Although sometimes I find it hard to apply them to my own life. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha... Now I want a toy car like that!
ReplyDeleteWise words!
ReplyDeleteYes, life is so fact paced...and many miss so much along the way. We do need to "stop and smell the roses", stop a while to see the beauty and appreciate God's creations all around us...and we will feel that it is indeed a wonderful world, after all.
ReplyDeleteHappiness always multiplies when shared... I like that quote, so true xox
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday Linda xox
You started off your post with a good quote and I certainly agree. Have a lovely day, Linda.
ReplyDeleteGreat words of wisdome form you Linda followed by a great post!
ReplyDeletei agree with your perspective on life and contentment ... i guess this sort of sentiment comes as we grow older and hopefully wiser, and we discard some of the ideas of our youth and learn what's really important for a fulfilling life :)
ReplyDeleteI love your philosophy, I have started a mindfulness course and think it is a marvelous way to help people appreciate the here and now and every small thing that is good in their lives.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Today I really enjoyed your first link photo ... "Happiness is not determinded by what's happening around you, but rather what's happening inside you." So true and, I think, another way of saying what you mentioned in your opening. Excellent! Have a fine day!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Linda! I have stated this before. You and I are much alike. I prefer to search for the beauty in the world rather than go looking for trouble. Some people have a long list of conditions or requirements for what it takes to experience happiness. I find that the simplest things make me happy. I've heard that the avocado is one of the healthiest foods you can eat and Mrs. Shady and I enjoy them. I will give her this recipe today.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday, dear friend Linda!
That Farmer's Tan is a tad different than the real farmers around my area. Funny though. Also, I enjoyed reading more about you.
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda,
ReplyDeleteJe prendrais bien un bain à la lavande, quel parfum délicieux...
Bisous ☀ ツ

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Now checking out all the videos! Thanks for sharing all these positive vibes! :)

ReplyDeleteHappiness sign really spoke to my spirit this morning! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThat is so spot on true, dear Linda. Life will always through obstacles in your path. It's whether or not you let them knock you off your feet in the moment or for the long haul that determines how you keep going. Thank you for starting this great post with another wise reminder.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
♥ Jessica
Good morning Linda. Once again I enjoyed the laugh about the police car and the boy. I have to go now. I going for my physiotherapy on my ankle. I hope it works because this pain is driving me nuts. Oh well, that's life. Have a wonderful Tuesday and I hope that the sun is out today. See ya.

Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteI also think that the little things in life you
should appreciate and happiness comes from within.
Given in lavender cotton bag, are a scent source for each
Wardrobe.
Nice Day.

ReplyDeleteLike always, full of positive energy :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda, you shared some really great quotes today. I liked the happiness and the little things quotes. As always, I got a real kick out of that prank... :)
ReplyDeleteOh it's so true - we simply cannot find our happiness in other people. Hard lesson to learn, though!
ReplyDeleteFound you...and thank you for stopping by at my place..:)

I love your own quote today Linda. Life is really all about how you choose to look at it.
ReplyDeleteI agree ..
ReplyDeletehappiness comes from within!
it is the spiritual experience of living! :-))
Hi Linda, I enjoyed the videos and the sayings. I will try the avocato. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSandra
I like the first two quotes in your post. So true!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Thank you for visiting me so I could find you. I'll be back, I'm following you on Bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Linda, in that happiness comes from within.
ReplyDeleteI really believe it's all about attitude. When you go through things with a smile on your face and joy in your heart with thanksgiving, things don't seem so hard, but with a frown and ungratefulnes, misery comes with it.
I enjoyed learning more about you. :)
Bless you~ Debbie
I love the stepping stone statement, so true. I also like the flowers for bees as I am trying to plant bee friendly flowers this year. Great post Linda :)
ReplyDeleteI have observed that looking at myself in a mirror is not a pleasant experience. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAgree, simple happiness
