I am a strong believer that true beauty comes from within. I have never had any plastic surgery or Botox done and I believe in growing old naturally. I don't discourage others from using it if they wish to, but I have noticed some before and after photos of celebrities who looked just fine before any plastic surgery and I find it sad how it worsened their appearance. I saw a TV program recently with Taylor Dayne, and I practically didn't recognize her! She has had plastic surgery and Botox, and I could see it immediately. Personally, I thought she looked fine (and better) than before she had all this done. While I fully comprehend that sometimes plastic surgery can be helpful (such as when a person has had a car accident or anything where it has distorted their appearance), my personal belief is that it is more important for me to work on myself, trying to be a better person, and especially as I get older, I want people to focus on my heart and mind, my inner beauty and not the outer. I think the best cosmetic on anyone is a kind heart and a radiant smile. Thanks for listening. :)

Hello Linda and thank you for your visit ! . I can speack English
ReplyDeleteand thanks for your videos . Amicably ,

Some look like they've lost expression in their eyes. Almost dead-like after too much work was done. Getting so these days, all the surgery does it make the one who didn't get it, look even better. If that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteYou find the prettiest drinks! I agree. I have seen some celebrities who look so much worse afterward, you can tell they had work done. The good plastic surgeons will make it look natural and you cannot tell. And some of the LIPS, oy! Many lips fail. It seems like most celebrities do this now.
ReplyDeletemerci pour ton petit mot chez moi (victoria320)
ReplyDeletepasses une belle journée
gros bisous
am not keen on plastic surgery too. Feels kinda weird . Just grow old with grace will be enough
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about plastic surgery
ReplyDeletei agree with your perspective ... as i get older (i'll be 40 next year), i realise that the emphasis we place on looks in our teens, 20s and 30s ends up being very temporary, and that the valuable traits in someone lie in their character :)
ReplyDeleteimpressionnant la tortue!
ReplyDeleteje te souhaite une belle journée , un peu frais ce matin mais le soleil est là
bisous et a demain
I agree with you. I don't understand the need for people to have plastic surgery.
ReplyDeleteThe art is lovely.
Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to visit you. Thank's for your nice post.
My englis is not so good now because never I can speak english in France.
I like your post on the tortoises.
At home we have 2 (et la tortue est mon animal fétiche)
Have a nice day
Indeed, beauty comes from within, not without...and yes, I do believe in growing old gracefully and not get stuck in some mid-life crisis.
ReplyDeleteHa ha.. That was a very good one!
ReplyDelete" meanwhile in Canada" me fait sourire Linda...
ReplyDeletegreetings
I love seeing the art links - thanks for bringing new artists to my attention!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Linda... I love that quote about the emotion that drains us is fear and the emotion that energizes us is love... really great way to look at it... it gives me an idea xox
ReplyDeleteAs far as plastic surgery, I am like you in the respect that I know I would never tell someone what was good for them... I often think it is done for some perceived deficiency... as far as for getting it when your older, I can't say what I would do if I had the money... I think I wouldn't but maybe that is only because I don't have that type of money to throw around... who knows :) I do believe that beauty comes from within but I think enhancing your beauty is okay... as long as you love yourself to begin with xox
Hi Linda, interesting sharing on plastic surgery, I fully agree with you about true beauty comes from within, our very self and not too much on the outward...I rather be natural and grow old naturally in God's timing.
ReplyDeleteYou don’t have to be handsome Linda, beauty is indeed inside. Rescued Baby Hummingbird is very nice to see.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Loved your thoughts for today. You are so right, let's be thankful for what we've got. Thanks for your blog and have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all you say. Linda. I hope I can grow old gracefully and live with a positive attitude. I hope my face reflects this. Enjoy your week whatever you're doing. (I hope you're keeping well).
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda, that you be able to create such a wonderful site daily.
ReplyDeleteNice Day.
Sadie
I don't know why people get plastic surgery either. Any type of surgery is dangerous... but I try not to judge those who do get it. Everyone can make the choice to do with their body what they want. But I think people look better in their "natural" state.
ReplyDeleteYou really made me laugh today with the first video!! OMGosh, I'm still laughing! And loved your post today!.... I think I'm very disappointed with Kenny Rogers...he has always been so attractive growing more handsome as he got older then he started plastic surgery and I find it hard to look at him.!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, have a wonderful day Linda!
I totally agree with your views on beauty, Linda. So many celebrities look dreadful after having surgery, whereas they were naturally attractive before.
ReplyDeleteBeauty really does come from within, as you so rightly say...just observe the difference between someone who is smiling and someone who is frowning. All the evidence you need is there!
I will definitely grow old as gracefully as I can.
Oh I so love those paintings...they are so beautiful.
And the rescued baby hummingbird is so cute!
Have a wonderful day xoxoxo
Good morning, dear Linda! I wholeheartedly agree with you that inner beauty is most important. I am shocked to see the grotesque results when people, especially women and girls, tamper with their appearance by undergoing cosmetic procedures. Today, girls are compelled and peer pressured into face and figure enhancement at an earlier age than ever before. It warmed my heart to see the tortoise enjoying kind and gentle human contact. Its face reminded me of ET - The Extra Terrestrial. The rescued hummingbird piece reminded me of a bird I helped. One chilly March day I rescued a baby blue jay that had fallen from its nest on my property. I took it inside, used a heating pad to keep it warm, fed it formula and, a couple of days later, transported it to a wildlife shelter.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear friend Linda!
You have some beautiful pictures posted today (as always). I love that one with the Canadian graffiti!
ReplyDeleteHa,ha,ha. Oh my goodness about that head. I wonder how I would react to the head? Probably the same way. Thanks for a laugh this morning. The " Joy Each Day is lovely. Very profound. Have a wonderful Tuesday & I hope the sun is out bright today. See ya.

I agree with you 100% . I too want to grow old naturally. Great gag video and the baby hummingbird video was adorable. Great quotes. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDelete"I think the best cosmetic on anyone is a kind heart and a radiant smile." Words of wisdom coming from you.
ReplyDeleteSevered Head is funny.
Good morning, Linda! And Amen to your thoughts on beauty! I'm doing my best to be kind to myself and appreciate my body as I age. Our Western culture puts such emphasis on youth, beauty, and perfection. They're missing the point. It's the inside that counts! I thought PSP&C's message was truly important! And Canadian graffiti ~ Made my day! I hope that you are having a good one too, Linda!
ReplyDeleteThe screaming, severed head might have given me a heart attack!
Ha ha! The Canadian graffiti made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally on the same page with you, Linda! Inner beauty is more important :D
ReplyDeleteCanadian graffiti is marvelous!
ReplyDeleteThe baby hummingbird is amazing. I am glad they were able to save it. I enjoyed seeing the art works also.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm always impressed by the huge variety what you recommend <3

I agree with you that it is our inner beauty that we should concentrate the most:)
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda, je suis tout à fait de ton avis! Bise et bon mardi dans la joie!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the beautiful photos, amazing paintings and true thoughts!
ReplyDeleteHugs Anja
I agree with your view on plastic surgery. It also scares me because when I think how difficult it is to find a competent doctor with all that celebrity money, how much more difficult it would be for the average person.
ReplyDeleteThumbs up on today's post!!
Hi Linda! I think as long as we stay young in heart and keep happy and contented, we don't need Botox or whatever. Nice post! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, my friend.
ReplyDeleteSuper gag, Linda !
I agree. The only makeover worth having is the one inside. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteoh I love that little hummingbird.............that is so exciting
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you stance on the plastic surgery. Yes, some celebrities made poor choice...oh my words!
ReplyDeleteLike today's 'Thirsty for...' 'Just for laugh' and Canadian graffiti! so fun!
I agree!
ReplyDeletebeauty comes from within! :-))
I like the tiny steps one
ReplyDeleteI too believe beauty comes from within.
ReplyDeleteI agree that a smile can instantly turn a face into a beautiful one. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can see why movie and TV personalities get help. That world can be so cruel to the aging actress. Great post as always Linda. Thank you for all the hard work you put into them for our enjoyment, and enjoy I do :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I wonder why the plastic surgeons just tell some of their patients that they don't need surgery; that the surgery will make them look worse? It must be the money.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with you about beauty, true beauty shines from within. I love the video about the tortoise! You find the most interesting things! Hugs!
DeleteI agree with you, Linda. As I step into my 40s, I strive more to be remembered as a good person.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I am with your thoughts on plastic surgery , a kind heart and lovely smile is the best of a person!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, as always ...thank you ...xx
I agree with you. I would like to age gracefully with a big smile, accepting and loving myself more as I am. Those cosmetic surgery and Botox are so scary.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with you on plastic surgeries.
ReplyDeleteMy husband saw Kenny Rogers on TV recently and said "DANG HE LOOKS BAD". His poor eyes was stretched so bad from surgery after surgery that he did not look like himself! I am not against anyone doing anything that makes them feel better about themselves BUT...until they accept themselves for their inner beauty no matter how many plastic surgeries they have will make a difference! Enjoyed this today very much! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteAs I write this comment I am still smiling after watching the little hummingbird. Great post Linda, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you about a smile being the best cosmetic!
ReplyDeleteI believe in growing old as gracefully as possible!
