ReplyDeleteGood morning, dear Linda! That 1953 soup commercial would not go over well with modern feminists. It depicted a world in which a woman's place was in the home. To attract and keep a husband, she needed to be a good cook or at least smart enough to open a can of Campbell's soup. Seems to me the guy was perfectly capable of making his own soup. :) There are few sights more touching and inspiring than a young animal feeling safe enough to fall asleep. I will long remember that dozing lamb. Bless its heart!
