Mellow Monday and a Second Poll!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! For those of you who were away for the weekend, I posted a new poll on the right hand column of my blog. There are now two polls, and it would mean so much to me if you would take a couple of moments to vote in the first one, (if you haven't already), and in my second and latest one. These polls will help me to determine what you most enjoy in my blog posts and will help me to post more of the things you like. Thank you so much! :) The videos I have chosen for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Elizabeth Montgomery and Vic Damone singing "Bewitched"
Baby Vervet Monkey Rescued from African Brush Fire
Didn't it Rain - Sister Rosetta Tharpe
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Why waste time doing things you don't enjoy doing but think you should do? Life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured.
A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves. - Amelia Earhart
Nice choice of messages today. I find I need them even more on Mondays! ;-) Loved the Bewitched duo and the monkey rescue too. Hope all is well and keep cool. <3
Good morning, dear Linda! I voted in your new poll. That old clip of Elizabeth Montgomery and Vic Damone singing together reminds us how formal and stiff TV music variety shows used to be compared to today's entertainment. I was touched by the rescue of the baby velvet monkey. I hope the little fellow is doing well these days. My favorite video was the performance by Sister Rosetta Tharpe. She was a music pioneer, enormously talented, like a female Chuck Berry, and influenced greats like Little Richard, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis.
Thank you, dear friend Linda, and have a happy Monday!
Honestly, I don't know how the JFL team keeps coming up with such great gags. This was another good one. I could really relate to the quote that said "Finding old music you used to love is like getting back in touch with an old friend." There's so much truth to that.
Good morning Linda. I love this statement, " Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them...your smile, your hope, and your courage " and Candy Waters, Autism Artist work lately has been just anazing. I look forward just to see what type of art she will have done. Have a fantastic Monday my friend. See ya.
I have been one the run with life for a while. Your blog is a welcomed respite. I love taking a few moments, setting aside the hubbub of problems and to-do lists and perusing through your offerings.
" Never look down on anyone unless you're helping them up" I like that!! It's always a joy coming here to visit with you, Linda. Have a beautiful and blessed day. Joy! Debbie
