Monday Mist and a New Poll!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian readers and friends! :) I have added a new poll, which you will find on the upper right hand column of my blog. I am asking what your age range is. Nobody will know you response unless you decide to share it, so please feel free to answer honestly. I am just interested in seeing the age of my readers. Thank you so much for your responses to my polls, I really appreciate it. :)
The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Amazing Foods to get Rid of Arthritis Pain
How to Make an Omelet in a Bag (I have to let you all know that I tried this...and it turned out beautifully, it was moist and delicious!)
4 Facts about Green and Dumpy Tree Frogs
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. I have a suit in my closet with a pocket cut out. It's a reminder to me that I won't be taking anything with me. The last I wear won't need pockets. - Wayne Dyer
When you look deeply into your anger you will see that the person you call your enemy is also suffering. As soon as you see that, then your capacity for accepting and having compassion for them is there.
That fart gag video reminded me of a recent trip to the eye specialist. I was sitting on one side of the waiting room with one gentleman though that might be too strong a word for him. Every few minutes he would lift his leg and fart and it was clearly audible. He did it 3x and I felt like telling him to go fart in the hallway (he was able bodied). Fortunately his son arrived. I like the egg omelette bag idea but am leary about plastics and leaching of materials into my food. I do use plastic but no longer in the microwave or in pots where it can touch my food. It's amazing that foods are medicines too, isn't it? Wishing you a very wonderful day of Thanksgiving tomorrow. Enjoy!
omelette in a bag! now that's a recipe that i would happily gobble up :D ooo, so far in the poll, looks like i'm slightly younger than some of your other participants :)
I like "hello Autumn"!! I am happy to see many signs of autumn here too!! Omelet looks delicious! Unfortunately I do not eat eggs due to its rich cholesterol though!! Have a happy new week,Linda.
After reading that Princess Diana quote and thinking about how early she died, you realize that her death actually hurt many, many people. She would have done so much good with her time here. She was like an angel on Earth!
Good morning, dear Linda! I voted in your poll but it might be misleading. I am 65 now but turn 66 next month. As a person with R-A, I appreciated the video listing foods that help with arthritis. It seems like I am eating the right things. I eat at least one banana and one apple per day. I eat only whole grain bread and Mrs. Shady uses whole grain pasta in meal preparation. I eat raw or cooked spinach every day and a cup of tea per day. Mrs. Shady uses olive oil and bell peppers in her cooking and often serves sweet potatoes, beets, lentils and mango. I love seafood and often eat shrimp and salmon. I never heard of Dumpy Tree Frogs but it was fascinating to learn how predatory they are, what they eat and how much they consume.
Happy Thanksgiving! Though we are in the States we still celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving as my husband is Canadian, and one of our daughters. In honor of my late mother in law, one of my daughter's asked if I would make roast beef and York shire pudding, that is not the easiest to make here in the high altitude. :-) It was a wonderful day. I miss living in Canada. It is good to visit with you, Linda. I am still on a break, just wanted to share my tea cup experience as the link up party will be on Wednesday. I will be away taking my mother south for the winter and will return to blogging at a later date.
Happy Monday Linda... I hope you are doing well. I like this quote "Your time as a caterpillar has expired. Your wings are ready." ... this is so very true xox ♡
It's true not to give any priority on those people that only treat us as an option. They are not worth it. We should be thankful for all the people, family and friends that love and welcome us.
Happy Monday, Linda. I loved the quotes today and as always the gag had me laughing out loud. Thanks for posting the omelet video. I gave up on making them years ago because I never liked how they turned out, but now I'll try again. Have a blessed day... :)
aahh, Princess Diana, I loved her. I always kept up with the happenings of he life, as I got married and had children around the same time as she did. Lovely quotes on here today. I liked many of them. Yes, I heard it was Thanksgiving in Canada. That sounds funny to me, as we celebrate it in November.
Have a great week.

ps you know, your follower link is not working lately. It doesn't show up. Not sure if it's on my end or yours - just thought I'd let you know.
I was talking about the followers link on google friends connect. It hasn't been showing up lately. I wanted to follow your lovely blog, but not able to do so. I'll check back later. : )
Never grow up, That's my motto, Linda! Thanks for always having thought-provoking messages! I thought very highly of Princess Diana, and I spent time at her memorial in London. It's tragic how suddenly short her life was. She was in an impossible situation. I thought what she did fearlessly for aids patients was one of her most important contributions of all. I wish she could be here to see how her sons have turned into amazing men, and I wish she could see her grandchildren. Happy Thanksgiving!
