Asking for Your Prayers and Thoughts on My Behalf
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! I was pretty sick today but thankfully it looks as if my stomach tried to protect itself from whatever it was and brought it up. I guess you all get what I mean, no need for me to say it in a gross way. LOL! Thank you all so much, I really appreciate it. :) I hope you all enjoy today's post! The videos I have chosen for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Knitted Glass at Bellwether 2012
Cheap Organizing - Tips to Re-organize any Space
Watch Moose Fight in a Quiet Alaska Suburb (I am just glad that nobody was hurt, at least it looks this way)
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Anything can happen!
Walking with grandpa...I like to walk with grandpa, his steps are short like mine. He doesn't say "Now hurry up!" He always take his time. Most people have to hurry, they do not stop and see. I'm glad that God made grandpa "unrushed" and young like me.
Many Buddhists consider huge difficulties to be a sign you're an old soul. The bigger your misfortunes, the closer you are to enlightenment. Whether you believe this or not, it's certainly cheery to reframe all your life's bad events as tests of your character. If you feel particularly tested right now, ask yourself what the heck you're being tested for! Patience? Compassion? Resilience? Forgiveness? Open-mindedness? What strengths must you develop further? Now consciously go out there and develop them.
Feel better soon! I'm sorry you are sick but glad your body got it out. I very much enjoyed watching the moose and the mosquito quote was very good :) Feel better, I am thinking of you!
I usually take weekends off from blogging because I promised Mrs. Shady that I would, but I am here for you tonight because I know you are ill and I am hoping that my visit brings cheer and allows you to feel a little better.
The gag video was another great one. There are many potentially funny scenarios involving old ladies and it was hilarious to see her racing off in the police cruiser. I was amazed by the beauty and intricacy of that knitted glass. I appreciated the organizing tips but thought of a flaw in the plan. When you dispose of the DVD or CD cases which include original artwork, booklets and other inserts, you automatically devalue the items tremendously. If you ever wanted to resell them you would find few people willing to buy them and they would only pay you a fraction of their previous worth. That moose battle was a spectacle to behold. I'm glad no one, beast nor human, was injured.
Please get well soon, my cherished friend Linda. My thoughts and prayers will be with you this weekend. God bless!
sending you positive thoughts and hoping that after some good rest, you'll find yourself completely recovered really, really soon. and as usual, i know you know to take care of yourself, with lots of fluids!
The Old Soul Buddhist quote is my favorite from here. I really needed to read it actually. 3 months ago I was diagnosed with guttate psoriasis and it's been such a battle. For the most part, it completely ruined my life over the last few months. I was too embarrassed to go and out see anyone or do anything. I have been miserable and to an extent I still am because obviously if you have something physically noticeably wrong it's bound to effect you.. but this quote really helped:

So thank you!
I am sending a heap of love and light your way in the hopes that you will soon heal and be 100 per cent perfect once more xxx
That's one of the funnier gags. We have lots of old, retired folks in Ocala and some of them think they can do just about anything because of their "status."
I went out and got some organizing tips and I'm going to get organized just as soon as I can figure out where I left them.
Glad to hear that you bout with stomach problems is over. I hate that stuff!
Haha...the Santa one is perfect! I can't believe Christmas is already pretty much here. We were at the mall yesterday and they were playing Christmas music. Wasn't it just summer five minutes ago?
What a Moose Fight in that Quiet Alaska Suburb. It got a little scary there until one gave up. I'm sure glad that the people in that suburb didn't get hurt. Wow, you never see that in Amherstburg. Have a moosey Saturday Linda. See ya.
I'm so glad you're feeling better. Barf is no fun. As a knitter I find that knitted glass amazing. And that Buddhist philosophy is so interesting. There are certain Native American tribes that believe that a person has not lived a full life unless they have had to endure some extreme hardship. I've had so many health problems so I actually find that very comforting. Sleep-pea. Tee hee. Big hug, Linda!!!!!
As usual I feel so amazed by your posts, always so cared, you surely put so much time doing them, and we all can appreciate your work ! I love'WALKING WITH GRANDPA', I had a special Grandpa who has walked by my side for so many years... and now for some time he's watching me from Up Above .... I just thought like that little child ... such Granpas are a God's blessing ! Thank you darling Linda for your thoughts, take care, my sweetest one Dany
Another fun gag. That moose fight would be something to see, but that one was a little too close for comfort. "Sleep-pea" is cute. I've been away for a week, with very poor internet connection, and have been catching up with your posts. Sorry to hear you were sick today and hope you're fully recovered by now.
Good to hear that you are feeling much better now. I too have made the same mistake before. Now I will make sure I eat something before taking medication which states "after food". At least even a few biscuits will help. Have a beautiful new week, Linda!
Oh my friend, I hope you are over that stomach flu. I prayed for you. These are so funny. And then I saw the walk with Grandpa and choked up but then the one about being alone hit me right between the eyes. I can think of a few people I would love to send that message to because I do feel they use our friendship as an escape. Wow is all I can say.
