Saturday Snowshine
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: A Just for Laughs Gag/Juste pour Rire
Jamie's Perfect Christmas Stuffing
Huge Rush of Christmas Shoppers in New York During 1930
8 Ways to be Grateful and Lead a Better Life
Get down Tonight - K.C. and the Sunshine Band
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. Plenty of people miss their share of happiness, not because they never found it, but because they didn't stop to enjoy it.
Tips from the cat trainer: Do not punish your cat!
That includes spraying your cat with water, shaker cans, hitting or yelling at your cat. Not only will it cause your cat to distrust you but it can also lead to behavioral problems such as fear aggression.
When we celebrate the indiscriminate killing of wildlife, when we exchange prizes for lives, we're assigning a value to life that takes away a precious piece of our humanity. - Phil Carter, Animal Protection Voters
Big secret to happiness: work on becoming more self-aware. Explore your part in your patterns. You have to own up to your limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging habits, so you can disown them.
We all rejoice in hearing those 3 words "I love you." Beneath these 3 words are another 3: "I get you." It's when we feel understood that we feel most loved.
Wishing you a happy weekend!! Speaking of candy corn - my grand quads loved the candy corn I kept in a crystal dish on the living room coffee table all fall. They missed it when they were here Wednesday so I brought it back out! Today I found CHRISTMAS candy corn in the red/green/white color combination! Win! WIN!!
I've laughed watching the video about the bride always falling into the water ( what funny expressions were depicted on the faces of those leading her to the priest and the guests !!!! ) and I'm still amazed by the great amount of people which were in New York already in 1930 ... it's incredible !
Thank you for sharing your wonderful quotes, have a blessed end of the week, thank you with all my heart, my darling, sweetest Linda, Dany
That is a very elaborate gag, but very funny, too. Weddings are scary as there are so many possibilities for things to go wrong and everyone's uptight and nervous. I did some wedding photography years ago and that was just too stressful in that in many cases it was impossible to meet the expectations of those involved.
Linda, the diamonds quote caught my eye right away. I was never really into diamonds much. I use my hands often for working and gardening, and diamonds would just get in the way hehehe. I love that last song - it's very upbeat and one of my favorites back in the day. :)
Have a splendid weekend, my friend. (I didn't know that about Canada - that the weather changes frequently).
I've tried several of Jamie's recipes & they're always good! So many great sayings today, Linda, especially the diamond & candy corn fun! Happy weekend!
I wasn't expecting there to be so many shoppers in the 1930s video. That was crazy and so interesting to see everyone with their fancy hats too. :) Great inspirational quotes! Thanks for sharing. ~Jess
Spraying the cat with water would be the only way they got my in-laws old cat to behave. But you only had to put point it at him. He'd get the message.

ReplyDeleteLove the gag, Linda. The saying about Canada...sunburn and frostbite in the same week...could sometimes be said of my own state of Indiana. :)
