Sharing About Myself
1. My favourite colour is forest green.
2. I love old music, especially from the early 1900's to 1950's.
3. I love to cook and try and use my crockpot (slow cooker) as much as possible.
4. I love animals and nature.
5. I am an introvert (melancholy).
6. If someone gives me a gift, my favourite gifts to receive would be: a non-fiction book, a relaxation CD or anything to do with tea!
7. I don't like a lot of noise and for this reason I avoid parades, concerts and large crowds. I am, however, a people person, I just don't like loud noise!
8. My favourite fragrances: Knowing by Estee Lauder, Charlie and Lavender or Lilac by Yardley.
9. I prefer a quiet, soothing evening at home to going out to a party.
10. I love to shop and browse in thrift and charity stores!
11. I love the new Fleecy aroma therapy liquid fabric softener in the yellow bottle.
12. My dream would be to make my bedroom a sanctuary...soothing, in green, with either an aquarium or a large mural of a forest or garden with lots of green. I wouldn't mind having a fountain there, either! :)
13. I love to read non-fiction books including books written by Holocaust survivors of WWII, and books that help me to grow and become a better person.
14. I love fruits and veggies, and lamb, chicken and pork...and salmon! :)
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you all enjoyed this post!

I don't much like too much noise though I can enjoy a good concert if not overly loud. I also have a preference for non-fiction or fiction that seems like something that could really happen or is based on real events. My wife would love your "green room". She loves green and we have a lot of green in our house.

Tossing It Out
It's great to learn more about you. We are not so different. I had my office painted in green when I was still working. It was most relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
det var spennende å lese :-)
ReplyDeleteAll white outside here in AB at this time ... but lots of "green" inside my house ... smiles ... wishing a really good pre X mas time, friend Linda ... Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteI don't like too much noise either . . . but enjoy classical music concerts.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you . . . Eddie . . :)
I enjoy reading these posts about yourself. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThree times now with the lamb. The only thing is, because of my health issues, I will only eat it fully cooked, but I don't mind at all.
Up soon, lamb burgers and balls.
Nice to read Linda, so we get to know you better
ReplyDeleteBonsoir chère Linda,
ReplyDeleteWouahou !! Génial vous nous dévoilez plein de petites choses qui vous caractérisent.
Gros bisous ♡
Nice, Linda, 'I love'...
ReplyDeleteIf I had your email, I would gift my non-fiction book. I used to like forest green, now I like yellow.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to learn more about you! I don't like loud noises either- but I also tend to not like large crowds (where there are tons of people and it is hard to walk). I love fresh veggies from the garden and enjoy anything relaxation related. :) Thanks for sharing!

I love hearing more about YOU - the person! Knowing - I love that fragrance but haven't used it in many years! Thank you for the reminder of how lovely it smells. I am going to buy some for myself!
ReplyDeleteNice to learn more about you, Linda :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
Happy Tuesday Linda, it is nice to read more about you... although I like being alone, I also love to go out and enjoy a good party... I am an extrovert who enjoys quiet time too... Have a lovely rest of the week xox
ReplyDeleteHi, dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteYou and I match on nearly every item! Green is my favorite color. I love old music, animals and nature. I prefer quiet settings to large, noisy gatherings. I also prefer to read non-fiction. I enjoy browsing around thrift stores and flea markets. I eat lots of fruit, vegetables and salmon. Thanks for sharing, dear friend!
I'm with you Linda. I simply hate the noise of today, the preoccupation with "celebrity" but love the natural world.
ReplyDeleteTry Vivaldi!!
Quite a list. I'm starting to feel a dislike for crowds. Not sure where it's coming from.
ReplyDeleteIt is an honest list and I appreciate the things you had to list. Sometime people would be phony with this but this is a true list. Fun to learn about others.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colour is green too! It reminds me of nature and the trees - I suspect similar to you. I'm also with you on fruits, veggies and non-fiction books. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou sound like a perfectly normal mature human being! Introvert doesn't necessarily equal melancholy though... I'm the first, but I'm happy! (Usually ;))
ReplyDeleteHearing preferences understood. I have been trying to get used to my first pair of hearing aids this week --vacillating between presbycusis and hyperacusis. Liquor bill's gone up. I am writing this verrrry quietly.
ReplyDeleteHi! I like a quite places, to read non-fiction books too. Many things are same with you. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNice to learn more about you. I don't mind a bit of noise, it just depends what it is and how long it goes on for. Clanging or jarring or pounding sounds are not my cup of tea. What's stopping you from going ahead and painting your room green?
ReplyDeleteWe are a lot alike...but..I don't like to cook or read..
ReplyDeleteWell done for sharing Linda..
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I don't know what I would do without my slow cooker. It makes cooking so much easier!
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow HSP I can relate to a lot of this list. :-)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to learn a little more about you Linda. So nice!
ReplyDeleteI also rather spend a quiet time at home instead of a noisy party. Once I make myself go to a party I find it's not that bad. But I still like it at home better.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. Good morning. Thanks for dropping by. My place no line so kinda hard to blog hop.
ReplyDeleteI like number 6. Yes...a good book and tea would be nice to have.
For me sometimes i like noise sometimes not.
I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about you, Linda! Thank you for sharing! I came back to update you on the chicken pot pie yearning your previous post caused. It was the perfect day for c. p. pie here today because of a bad snowstorm and cold weather. I didn't have what the recipe you posted called for, but I scrounged through the cupboards and fridge to see what I had. Then I hunted around for recipes and came up with a c. p. pie that Terry pronounced, "Fabulous!" He is a contented man tonight. Thanks for prompting me to make this, something I have never made before! Have a great Wednesday, my dear friend!
ReplyDeletei love the number 1 fact you listed about yourself, since green is my favourite colour too :)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind noise, I just don't like crowds
ReplyDeleteC'est bien grâce à ces informations sur toi on te connait mieux.
ReplyDeleteMerci Linda !!!!
I'm so very glad for what I've read about you, my dearie, now I feel you nearer, as if we knew a little more !
ReplyDeleteThinking of you
Dany
How precious to know a bit more about you, Linda! We have dinner in the crock pot as I type this. Can you smell it? While loud noises don't typically bother me, I prefer having plenty of quality quiet time! Blessings to you, Linda! Hugs, de
