Mid-Week Celebration and a Little About Myself
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! I thought I would share a little about myself in this post, so thank you all so much in advance for reading. I have eczema, which usually affects my hands and feet, but sometimes I even get it on my eyelids. I do not wear makeup and haven't worn makeup in many years, perhaps for 20 or more years. Dusk/sunset is my favourite time of day. I am not very good at identifying the names of flowers or plants, but I am much better at identifying the names of animals. Short and sweet this time...thank you so much for reading! :) The videos I have chosen for this post are: Emu Run!!! :)

I always enjoy learning more about you, Linda. I'm sorry you have the eczema to deal with. It can be quite troublesome, I know. The emu video was fun. They were so curious and yet so timid. That fall photograph by Fran Byrne is stunning! And I love the Peadoodles hummingbird.
God morning Linda!:) I'm so sorry you have Eczema, I used to suffer very badly with allergies when I was younger, but seem to have grown out of them now. Thank you so much for your very entertaining post. I always love your animal shares, and after the Emu Run, went on to see the baby fawn's rescue, and then the Swans being set free. Acts of kindness like this, and the man who helped the lady by giving her a car in her time of need, gives me a warm feeling inside, and it's just lovely to see.
My PC is not working properly, and I can't get to my Desktop this morning, I hope it will right itself, as I don't know what to do. Hugs to you, and have a wonderful day.X
Linda, it is good to get to know you more... I like this quote: People often forget that kindness is free. ... I honestly think we all need to learn more kindness in our lives and use it xox
I thought my heart was going to burst listening to the sad tale of the veteran, heartwarming to know that people care enough to honour his death by helping his Mum.
Good thing someone was there to untangle the tangled swans. What a relief for the swans to be untangled. The food video is making me hungry again! I too have some kind of skin allergy on my lower legs. They come and go as they like but they are really itchy!
Always love learning about you. I have a friend with eczema and I know it can be very uncomfortable at times. Hope you have good control of it most of the time. One loyal friend is worth ten thousand relatives. So very true, and thankfully I have one of those friends, but sadly she lives in South Africa so we do not see each other that often. Take care and look after yourself. Diane
Love those posters...so much to think about and absorb. And that Calgary diner ... what great-looking food and huge portions. I think breakfast would hold me all day. It's not easy finding a good breakfast place. Wishing you a great Wednesday!
Oh, my darling Linda, I cannot find the words to express all the gratitude I feel, it's always such a treat to come and meet you here, wonderful friend of mine, thank you !
Oh, my darling Jeanie, you always publish such cheerful and wonderful posts, filled with all your joy of living, it's such a treat to visit with you, blessed be !
Hope you're having the best of weeks, I'm sending blessings of joy on your days to come
I and a lot of our family members have eczema...I've had it for years but very light case....mine only breaks out on my hands at times...as I age, I am bothered less and less with it. Grands have more severe cases of it but with new meds, they control it pretty well. You are right in that I didn't get your first email..guess it's floating around out there in cyber space. :)
Stupid eczema. It runs in my family and it is so annoying. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with it, too. Thanks for the emus. I just love a goofy animal, don't you?
Loved the post today. Intrigued by Canary Islands. I thought of them as lush and tropical instead of volcanic in places.
I'm sure I saw a silver sword - thought they only grew in Haleakala on Maui. Learn something new every day.
Wonder how the swans became entangled?
And speaking of emus - have you tried emu oil on your eczema? I actually down 3 capsules a day and it fixes my arthritis, but it comes in a bottle for topical use. Also lotion. I get mine at www.outbacknaturals.com.
I get eczema around my eyes. There is a cream called Epicarem that works really well. Non prescription but usually behind them counter. I have to special order mine. It's about $30 a tube but it lasts a long time.
I am sorry to hear about your eczema. I have heard that Neem leaves soaked in water and then putting that water in affected areas help a lot. Neem is widely used in India in any skin-treatment. Perhaps you can try that out. Eczema around eye areas must be very painful :-(.
Seen Emus in Australia on my last visit there. Those feet can pack a real kick with dagger like toes and some of the bigger males looked over six feet tall. I was surprised how large they were close up. Always fancied a trip to the Canary Islands.
Linda, Having to live with eczema to the degree that you do must be stressful and frustrating at times. I haven't had too many health issues until this year...with carpal tunnel surgery, prostate removal/cancer and a hip replacement. I'm about surgeried out!
I personally wouldn't screw around with Emu's. At drive thru parks Emus and Ostrich are famous for sticking their heads in your car...and they are dangerous because they aren't exactly the brightest. Love the tangles swans. Just saw something similar with a mother goose who asked for help to rescue one of her goslings...
Hi Linda, thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I love that emu video. I'm going to have to try doing that one day to attract the emus and impress the wife!
Hi Linda. I watched that video of the Canary Islands with huge interest. I'm sure I recognised parts of Lanzarote's moonscape and also the long wide sands of Fuerteventura. Thank you, and have a good weekend.
Hi, Linda! I have been a bit busy of late - so sorry to not be leaving comments the way I'd like to. Thank you for always perking up my days, and bringing clarity and happiness to many a moment. More than anything, thank you for being you, and for contributing to my life the way you have. Big hugs, de
WOW!!! great post!! I wrote down almost half of these quotes in my quote book!!! Thanks for sharing them. and thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment :0) Hugs Sandra
????? The first video is very special to see. The man lies down on the floor and the emus are a for a walk towards him. Really binzndner to see lol ...... The Canary Islands HD was so amazing to see. What a beautiful piece of nature. The video where the woman got a car was very moving. How nice that the man helped the swans and really a miracle that the swans were so quiet. Great to see that the swans came free again :-)
Great videos! Those swans obviously understood their need for help and the intentions of their rescuer. Reminds me of one time I released a raccoon from an illegal leg trap. After I freed it, the animal walked away a few steps and then looked back at me as if to say "thanks."
Hi Linda, I hope the eczema, doesn't cause you any pain! I felt so bad for those swans! I am so happy they had someone there to help them! Thankyou again for the meaningful quotes! Big Hugs!
