Weekend Well Wishes
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: Afternoon Tea at the Savoy
Baby Goat Meets Horse
Jenny Powell - Afternoon Tea at the Dorchester
Watch How This Pug Loves to Take a Bath
Christmas 2016 - How Christmas Feels When You Have a Cat :)
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. For the health of my mind, body and spirit, I choose to walk with: gratitude, not envy. Faith, not worry. Confidence, not fear. Kindness, not anger. - Charles F. Glassman
Awww...so cute to see the goat and horse loving each other's company! Ha ha..the pug really loves its bath! Oh my goodness! No Christmas decorations when you have a cat in the house!
My daughter has had afternoon tea at the savoy when she used to work in London. My husband and I have stayed at the Dorchester on a trip to London but we had an evening dinner not the tea.
Hola Linda, como siempre gran trabajo. Muchas gracias. Me gusta todo pero en especial el baño del perrito, resulta divertido y tierno. Un beso y se muy feliz.
Hi Linda--so true about exercise being the BEST anti-depressant out there. If I'm having a bad day, nothing fixes it better than a long walk! Loved the Cats at Christmas video. Yea....that brought back a few memories of toppling trees and a mischievous cat!
I love your choice of quotes for this post and I've heard only good things about afternoon tea at the Savoy - certainly something I plan on trying this winter! :)
The goat was adorable. I loved watching it exhibit what comes naturally to a goat...head butting. I enjoyed the cat video...once I realized it was a commercial. And I enjoyed the lessons from a pencil.
Oh WOW...I am totally uplifted yet again! So many truths here...where can I begin to express how these touch the very depths of my being... "Earth was made for all beings, NOT just for human beings" how true is that?? And a most valuable lesson for us all to learn...and remember!
Fabulous sayings Linda but the one which won my heart today is 'Earth was made for all beings, not just human beings'. I just wish more people would take that to heart, no more hunting for fun or killing for 'medicines'. Maybe our wildlife would have a chance instead of so many being on the endangered list.
I think the Savoy and the Dorchester might be a little too rich for my blood...but I wouldn't mind looking around in those places. I do like the goat and the horse. Our daughter has goats and a horse and they get along well. Thanks for some wonderful posters, again, too. I found just the right one for today! Have a wonderful weekend, Linda!
Hi Linda! I love the tradition of afternoon tea -- so relaxing yet elegant! An experience to be savored, as is your lovely blog. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hi, Linda! Thanks for educating me (in your comment on my blog) about how you used to be able to respond to comments through your reader. Such a shame that option is no longer available. Your little goat meeting horse is darling! And I especially liked the quip about facing our fears. My uncle and I enjoy delving into those things we most fear - mostly because we know it will make us better people, with greater capacity at compassion and empathy. Being free to acknowledge our own fears (particularly our flaws) brings everything out into the open so that Shame has no grip on us.
Something happened last week which triggered that icky Shame again. I offered the incident back to the Universe, and knew that the feeling would soon dissipate. But it is your (once again) timely reminder to let the Past remain in the Past that helped me tremendously today. THANK YOU, blogging friend! Thanks for always having the right words to pierce my heart... always for the better. THAT is what true friends do. hugs, de
Hi,Linda!!!!! I really liked the videos: Baby Goat Meets Horse and Watch How This Pug Loves to Take a Bath. It's very cute !!!! So beautiful !!! Have a great Sunday Linda!!!! A meow of Sofia
Hello Linda!:) Those hotels are lovely places to have tea, and the cakes and scones look scrumptious. Loved the goat and horse clip, and the Pugs enjoyment of his bath was great to see. Thank you!:) Hugs from Portugal.X
Happy Sunday, Linda! I'm reading all the jaw-dropping quotes in this inspiring post ~ jaw dropping because they are so very, very true! I would have loved to hang the pencil one in my classroom, because my kiddos could connect with colored pencils and those three "learnings" are fundamental.
The Jim Morrison quote, "Expose yourself to your deepest fear. After that, you are free," is absolutely true. It's taken me decades to mostly overcome my fear of heights, but I've exposed myself to scary areas and have come so far. Right now I working on a fear that has hampered me much of my life, and that is driving. Bullhead City is full of roads that have all the things that scare me, but the speeds are lower on the steep, long downhill stretches. So I'm forcing myself out to drive almost every day for longer and longer stretches of time. Maybe now I can finally overcome my panic attacks! I'm heading out in a few minutes to go at it again.
So many other things I could comment on in the videos and the quotes, but I'll stop now! Have a lovely Sunday, my cherished friend! Sending to much love and hugs!
I really like the "Expose yourself to your deepest fear. After that, you are free" quote! Reminds me of my favorite quote from Mother Superior in the Sound of Music: "There walls were not built to shut out problems; you have to face them! You have to live the life you were born to live." As the scriptures say, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, of power, and of a sound mind! I pray for his courage, strength, and wisdom. Thanks for an encouraging post, and blessings to you, Linda!
Linda, Those afternoon teas look very nice indeed, but I don't think that the Savoy would want me wandering in wearing my cargo shorts and a golf shirt with tennis shoes. Dressed up for me means black cotton slacks and a golf shirt...tops! Any more than that, count me out. Love that baby goat and the horse... I think that the horse was as interested in the goat as vice versa! That Pug in his bath reminds me of the daily full massage that our cat receives from my wife! What a life! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Hope you are feeling better Linda!! Thank you for another terrific post! I wonder why that baby goat kept going up on it's legs?? So cute! And, I love that pug! LOL! Big Hugs!

I actually know two chefs that used to work at the Savoy. Apparently they even prepared food for the queen!
