Monday Pick-me-up
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: Country Sunshine - Dottie West
Can You Feel the Love Tonight - Elton John
Smile a Little Smile for Me - The Flying Machine
Try a Little Kindness - Glen Campbell
Aime - Bruno Pelletier (this is a French song, "Aime", which means "Love". It is a beautiful song and you don't need to understand French to appreciate the beautiful tune. The lyrics are lovely, and I am sure my French readers are familiar with this song). :) Bruno Pelletier is a francophone Quebec singer.
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see another view. There's always something to be grateful for and something good coming. (please remember that!)
When you are depressed about the past or stressed out about the future, bring your attention back to your breath. Breathing is a here and now experience, it takes you back to what is happening this very second.
glad to have you here with me dear, truly is a treasure whatever is in you post today like always . loved the videos and each quote as i am fan of wise words from enlightened hearts are the source of inspiration and so precious . make your each BREATHE a celebration and let everyone SHARE this joy.
Hello Linda, wonderful songs and inspiring words. I am grateful for each day I wake up. Life is good! Thanks for sharing. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
What a great post! I loved all the music - that's music I listened to as I was growing up (well, except for the beautiful French song)...and all the posters were relevant and significant. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
I grew up learning how to fight and defend myself, and it's taken me a long time to realize that I still fight, even when there is no need to. Turning my thoughts to a positive frame of mind is an ongoing journey.
Linda, Your upbeat videos and positive messages are always welcome...especially when the day isn't going well. Here in the USA we need some positive vibes right now given our political situation and divisiveness. But, as the man said, "You can't fix stupid." Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Nice quotes and videos! I happened to read your comment up above about you being 60 and your birthday a month ago and then I thought, wait, that's not that old (but older than me) as I will there in January.
Beautiful words all of them but 'With love and patience, nothing is impossible' so very true I have done things which I never though possible (especially with horses during my riding days). Wish I could play the French song but..... They keep promising us faster WIFI but then they tell us there is not money available for it!! Hope you have a fabulous week. Diane
Hi Linda! I remember Dottie West, and it was fun to see her video here. The meme about not speaking in a bad mood is such a relatable one. Moods pass, words stay forever. Those are such wise words. Monday blessings, Ceil
Hello Linda, you always find so wise quotations! Consciously or unconsciously, I try to choose a favourite to remember, but it's difficult because everyone is more beautiful and useful than the other. :) Thank you very much for these fun and uplifting posts. Have a happy new week! ♥
Dear Linda, Thank you for visiting my blog~I appreciate your kind words. You too have a lovely blog-what great & important sayings with the perfect graphics. May your week be filled with smiles and love! Noreen

Wonderful selection here. I particularly like the Elton John music and your quotes too are excellent, if I had to choose one it would be 'In a world where you can be anything...be kind'
Enjoy the rest of Monday and have a good week ahead.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with the coffee quote!
ReplyDelete"Smile a little smile for me" was a hit here a long time ago but it was the version by a guy named Tony Christie. Love that song!
ReplyDeleteI recognize all but one of those singers...pretty good for me:)

All the best Jan
I love the wisdom about kindness.
ReplyDeleteVery uplifting as usual, with wonderful reminders of how to respond to challenges.
ReplyDeleteThe one about moods never being an excuse for cruel words is so true. Words can hurt people--or help them--so much. We have to use them for good.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the quote "Learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself." That one made me smile!
Thanks Linda!
Yes about the coffee!
