ReplyDeleteThe 1940s living room is a real treat. I keep looking at the fabrics. :) Thank you for the intro to Etienne Cote's art
Do not get upset with people or situations, both are powerless without your reaction.
ReplyDeleteLovely...
Bonjour Linda j'aime ces paintures colorées. Et la citation "Two things define us...our patience when we have nothing and our attitude when we have everything." Bonne semaine à vous et j'espère que votre santé va mieux. :)

ReplyDeleteWishing you a peaceful week filled with your favourite things!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda, I love the puppies and the bird videos. So cute. Thanks for sharing your inspiring post. Happy Monday, have a great day and new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super post, Linda. The bachelor party pup fest was too funny and quite wonderful. In our house in the 40s the living room was where the family got together. I remember listening to President Roosevelt give his fireside chats on the radio...the radio (not TV) was the center of attention in those days.
ReplyDeleteMerle Travis was one of my favorite country singers and Victor Borge was always good for many laughs.
Lots of good posters, too, and I like the work of the Montreal artist.
The puppies story was so uplifting, a lovely post.
ReplyDeleteAwww, on the puppies. I linked this post to Awww Mondays. So adorable and the guys are awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh the homes of the 40s. We had similar to this when I will little.
Have a fabulous day Linda. Big hug. ♥♥♥
I really do want a new puppy but don't have much room for one. At least for it to be happy
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the lovely quotes today.
ReplyDeleteC'est tout joli Linda. Tes posts sont un bon choix. Bon début de semaine
ReplyDeleteWe all love the bachelor party dog story, but we need to keep telling people to spay and neuter!
ReplyDelete'The 1940's House'..., it wasn't that bad, Linda...
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, Linda ♥
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday morning, my special friend! I hope you had a lovely weekend! Great post today ~ I enjoyed all the videos, especially the pan flute with the gorgeous winter birds and the Victor Borge video that had me rolling with laughter. I always try to assume that someone is acting with a positive intent, even when their actions are perplexing. Then I try to understand why they are acting in a certain way. Much can be forgiven if you understand why someone is acting a certain way. Have a wonderful week! Sending you hugs and love, dear Linda!
ReplyDeleteI got quite a laugh out of the Victor Borge video. Enjoy the week, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love the puppies and bachelor party story! That is so sweet :-)
ReplyDeleteMy computer is acting up so I was not able to see any of the videos. I was able to see the quotes and art and they were great. Have a blessed day my friend. Madeline
ReplyDeleteThe puppies are the best story of the year.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda now that would be my idea if crashing a bachelor party. Those puppies were adorable. So fun to see the living room of the 1940's. My mom talked about having curtains to blackout light. Life was very scary during this time in the world. Loved the video of lovely music and seeing the birds. Thank you for a beautiful post. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda for sharing these wonderful sayings, You amaze me every post you do is brilliant. Thanks also for adding my favourite Raphael Vavasseur Art :-) Have a great week Diane
ReplyDeleteBonjour Linda, tout est tellement beau, j'adore Birds of winter! Bise, bonne soirée tout en douceur!
ReplyDeletegreat quotes. thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet video about the puppies!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, from the bottom of my heart for another beautiful post!!! Thank you for sharing the Quebec artist! Amazing! I should be going shopping this week! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, all those lovely puppies.
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! Hope your weekend was enjoyable and that this week presents a few happy surprises. Thanks for the chuckles and timely reminders. XOXO
ReplyDeleteLinda, While I was too young to remember WWII and I was raised in Michigan, not England, I do remember the radio being the center of the living room with comedies and dramas alike. I remember coal furnaces (not fireplaces) and coal smoke and dust came close to knocking this asthmatic kid off for good! We use to love Victor Borge...thanks for the memory. I really like that first painting by Etienne Cote... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
ReplyDeleteUn petit coucou de la Provence, Linda.
ReplyDeleteDouce journée à vous.
Den

Being grateful is very important. I try to remember it everyday :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the 1940s house. My grandmother learn to sew at a young age and did so up until her death. She was a beautiful seamstress that made the clothes for all of her family including her great grandchildren. I still have most of them put away in case there are ever any great great grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteLinda!
ReplyDelete"Birds of Winter" is fantastic.
Greetings.
Lucja
Delightful, dear lady. I like the graphics about drama...seeing a lot of hate on my Facebook page because of the U.S. elections! I liked the video of the 1940's. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteMy computer is working again so I was able to see the videos and they were great. Madeline
