Mid-Week Shares
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: Woodpecker Hitches Ride through Chicago
AquaDance Premium High Pressure Shower Head
Feeding a Day Old Zebra Finch Baby (Hatchling)
HD Nature - Relaxation Video - Macro
Elephant Falls Asleep After Lullaby
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. "Well, honk to you too. I'm not moving." :)
Cara Linda, quando si entra da te ci vuole un po di tempo per godersi tutti questi bellissimi video, devo affermare che sei molto brava. Ciao e buona giornata con un abbraccio e un sorriso:-) se anche sta nevicando. Tomaso
That's got to be the smallest bird I've ever seen! But all those "Canada" posters are a riot. It's nice to see you Canadians can laugh at yourselves. I think we've lost that "art" down here. Everyone is angry and there's way too much hate. According to the polls, hate crimes have risen dramatically since the orange-headed monster became prezident. Hope you have a wonderful day and rest of the week!
Nice video of the woodpecker. It must have taken a liking to the man in the car. I didn't know the baby Zebra is that tiny! The elephant is so huge, yet so gentle like a little baby!
Great Linda. I found the little hitchhiker adorable, feeding the tiny finch fascinating- so admire the lady who did that. The baby elephant very sweet, would love that shower head and very nice relaxing video, great wise words and a great post as always. Thank you :)
I've found the "Meanwhile...In Canada" FB feed, and I chuckle! Since I live NORTH of Canada (yep, a small piece of Ontario is southeast across Lake St. Clair), we feel akin since we share the same weather.
Hi Linda! I am from the Chicago area, so I was delighted to see the video of the woodpecker. It was on our local news! Your meme's are always inspiring, but I really liked the one about how my day will follow the direction of my mouth. Such a simple thought, but so true! Wishing you smiles today :) Ceil
Hi, Linda. I enjoyed the elephant video and all the "Meanwhile in Canadas." Those Canada geese do have attitude. Sometimes, though, it gets them in trouble.
Beautiful, fun and inspiring. I always like "Meanwhile in Canada" posters, because "Meanwhile in Finland" would be rather similar. Thank you for sharing, dear Linda!
Linda, Thanks for your kind comments re: the passing of our cat J.D. We lived in Chicago and I worked downtown. That woodpecker probably bounced off a skyscraper and needed a place to perch in order to recover. During migration season, we would find dead birds around the base of our 25 story tower. Sad... The elephant lullaby story is very cute. Love the way the elephant and the keeper interacted! As for that Canadian Goose in the puddle, they do tend to take over and won't put up with much nonsense from humans! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
The woodpecker video was my favorite. He needed a lift to get to his destination. Rumi is my favorite quote. It's great advice! Thanks Linda for the wonderful post.
LOL! Isn't it funny how critters enjoy water in the most unlikely (and ickiest) places? I suppose that is his goosey claim to territory that will dried up soon enough. Sounds almost like human beings!
Love the sentiment about how a person's day will go. Isn't it the truth? Even in our most painful moments, an upturned mouth can trigger a silliness and joy that no other thing can produce.
The seed of light coming forth from the heart in the final photo is lovely, Linda.
Oh Linda, your mid-week selection is just brilliant. So many good videos, quotes and captions. The Woodpecker Hitches Ride through Chicago ... what a great start to your post.
De todos vídeos el que mas me gusto es el del pájaro que se acoplo al coche para viajar sin cansarse. El tiempo por aquí veo que esta tan loco como por allí y no sabes que ponerte cada día.
