Mid-Week Enrichment
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: Just Before Retiring, an Elderly Carpenter Took One Last Job. He Never Saw This Coming! (great life lesson here)
Congregation Shamed Cowboy for what he Wore to Church, but his Response was Priceless!
Lost Baby Elephant Finally Finds Mom
Decorator Crabs Make High Fashion at Low Tide - Deep Look
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure. - Joseph Campbell
Now that we have learned to fly in the air like birds and dive in the sea like fish, only one thing remains - to learn to live on earth like humans. - George Bernard Shaw
Be a reflection of what you'd like to receive. If you want love, give love. If you want truth, be truthful. If you want respect, give respect. What you give out will return to you.
Indeed! What does it matter what people wear to church as long as it is respectful and respectable? I never bother to put on what they call one's "Sunday best". I believe that what is in one's heart is most important.
Hello dear Linda, the "Uplift post" videos are great! And so are the quotes. "No matter how rich, cool, educated or talented you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all" is my favourite. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a happy Wednesday! <3
Hello Linda, I love the baby elephant, glad there was a happy ending. I always enjoy your inspiring quotes and images. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!
Happy Wednesday morning, Linda! I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee and enjoying your thought-provoking post. The first video was powerful a analogy for how to live life. I would have shared that with my students, were I still teaching. And the second one was equally powerful. The other videos and the quotes you've chosen are full of things to contemplate, learn, and uplift. Have a great day, my special Montreal friend!
This could not be more true!! 1Now that we have learned to fly in the air like birds and dive in the sea like fish, only one thing remains - to learn to live on earth like humans.' and of course, yes how is there always money for war!!!! Thanks once again for Raphael Vavasseur Art. He is just magical. Take care Diane
Hi Linda, first thank you for all of your fine comments on my blogs ... I really do appreciate that you take the time and effort to do that. Secondly, you've got some good videos here. The cowboy video is a theological lesson...the Jesus of the gospels in several cases noted that God comes to us in the form of the poor and the sick and the weak and how we treat those people is the framework of our real religion. Very interesting. Love, also, the two seasons in Canada. Interestingly enough, we are seldom bothered with mosquitos here in Ocala. What is a good thing. But I remember them in Minnesota. There's a saying that the mosquito is Minnesota's state bird! :)
How we treat people certainly is telling of the kind of person each of us is. Those who are rude to waitstaff are simply rude people, no matter how nice they are to others.
The story of the carpenter and all the amazing quotes that followed it teach such important, meaningful lessons about life. It's amazing how, in just a few moments, we can review what we already have learned, but somewhere along the way, have forgotten to apply, to life's many challenges.
Please do not be shy! I appreciate your kind comments, they are sweet treasures and really make my day! Spammers, do not waste your time, I delete your comments and they do not even show on my blog.
