Wonder Filled Weekend!
Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have selected for this post are: Special Friendship Over Bowling
The Deer Whisperer
Baby Seal Stranded Thanks Rescuers One by One
Second Fiddle to an Old Guitar - Jean Shepard
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. A happy life is not a perfect life. It's not about being rich, gorgeous, popular or famous. It's about being real, grateful, kind, strong - and able to share who you are - the true you - with others - their true selves. It's about being able to touch and be touched inner heart to inner heart - instead of outer ego to outer ego. When you're able to do this, then you'll experience true happiness - because you'll be living with authenticity, love, meaning and purpose.
One of the best wishes you can wish for is clarity. Wish for clarity for yourself, clarity to see the meaning and purpose in your challenges. Clarity to see which are the new paths you need to take - clarity to see which old paths are dead ends you should no longer take. And as far as those who have harmed you, wish for them to gain clarity as well - clarity to fully see the pain they have caused - clarity for them to see new ways of being and doing. What this world needs to be at its most loving, peaceful and joyful is simply more clarity!
In the face of a challenge, in the midst of frightening or and difficult situations, you must remember the good. You must take a breath from the center of your being and, remember, trouble comes to pass, not to stay. - Iyanla Vanzant
The videos of the fawn and the baby seal were darling ~ I hope that the babies found their mothers. The Karen Salmansohn quote is so true! Have a lovely day tomorrow, Linda! I hope you are blessed with lovely spring weather. Sending you love and hugs!
Weren't the quotes in this post particularly interesting and inspiring? :) Yes they were! The Shakespeare one is my favourite. "Meanwhile in Canada" is always fun, even though I must say we Honda drivers are in general very skilled and attentive drivers... :) Big hugs!
I always am amazed at the variety of goodies you discover, Linda, and how well you pair them up with each other in your blog posts. What a lovely assortment today. Poor little seal doesn't want to leave his captors - he may know what it's like being alone at his age. Thanks again, and happy week-end! xx
That tiny fawn looked like a newborn, with it's wobbly legs. Hope mama came back for it. The Meanwhile in Canada poster about the parking spot gave me a good chuckle this morning. :)
Dear Linda - Both the little girl and the newly born fawn are so cute. The movie made me feel like going to Nara park to meet fawns just having arrived to this world. Thank you for the inspirational quotes as always.
I like the deer whisperer. And Ms. Shephard's yodeling was fantastic. Also, it is interesting to realize that Canadians don't know how to park! :) But you had some of the best posters ever. Merci !
Hello Linda, I just love the critters. The deer and little girl is adorable and I love the cute seal. Great videos. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!
Hello Linda!:) The little girl deer whisperer was so gentle with the fawn, and it was a lovely video clip. I hope both the baby deer and seal found their mothers. It was touching to see the seal thanking each of the rescuers. All the quotes are beautiful.:) Thank you Linda,...have a good weekend.:)
Hello Linda, and my good wishes for the new month of June, I really don't know where January to May went - it whizzed by. I hope the week has been a good one for you.
Once again a great selection, love your videos and I do like the quote 'A warm smile is the universal language for kindness'. I sometimes think the world could do with a lot more smiles ...
Linda, With the deer whisperer, I can't help but wonder what happened to that fawn... Ollie Imogene Shepard was both a singer and songwriter who kept performing until 2015. She died in 2016. I will admit to having little tolerance for drama kings and queens...or for fake people! I did like that Canadian passive-aggressive poster... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
I'm not normally moved by gurgling baby or happy children type videos but that one was exceptional and poetic. Also secretly like a bit of yodeling- old style country music is fascinating to me as it seems to have such well defined boundaries that are seldom crossed, musically and visually, i,e. singers are invariably on a country porch with big hair, in a barn or sitting on haystacks.
How beautiful the illustrations with cats !!!!!! We want to thank you very much for the beautiful comments on our blog !!!! Have a great weekend Linda !!!! A meow of Frida and Sofia
The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. - William Shakespeare He certainly had this right :-) Thanks again for the Raphael Vavasseur Art, I never get tired of his drawings and they always make me smile. Have a good Sunday Linda and take care Diane
