Monday Serenity

Hello everyone!  A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are:

Officer Goes Way Beyond Call of Duty in the Best Way

Soldiers Use These Uplifting Programs to Help with PTSD

Sewing Machine (1955)

Golden Retriever Meets Baby for the First Time (2K)

Eats for Lonely Men (1940)

For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo.  You just need to click on the images to see a larger view.

The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it. - Richard Bach

My life isn't good or bad.  It's an incredible series of emotional extremes, with beautiful thunderstorms and stunning sunrises. - Jaeda Dewalt

Counting other people's sins does not make you a saint.

It's never too late to have a happy childhood.  But the second one is up to you.

Some people will only be there for you as long as you have something they need.  When you no longer serve a purpose, they will leave.  The good news is, if you tough it out, you'll eventually weed these people out of your life and be left with some great people you can count on.  We rarely lose friends, we just gradually figure out who our real ones are. - Darren John Maxwell

The day I broke up with my negative thoughts, was the day magical things started to happen for me.

It's time to stop beating yourself up about the mistakes you've made.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.

Why fit in when you were born to stand out. - Dr. Seuss

Go the extra mile, it's never crowded.

Oh what an amazing feeling it is, when you finally set yourself free by letting go of the past and things you can't change.  Just have to learn to let go of who you were, to progress into all you are meant to be...your best self!

When you listen to something alertly like the sound of rain for instance, in that moment of alertness you are then not distracted by your thoughts (which are usually negative, stressful and judgmental).  In that moment of alertness you are focused on listening and peace can arise.

It's the little moments together that make the best memories forever.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here!  I always enjoy and appreciate reading your kind thoughts, which you are always welcome to share!

  1. Hello Linda,

  3. Eats for Lonely Men, is nice to see, now he has a microwave.

  4. You find the sweetest videos and sweetest words. A great way to start the day. Thank you Linda. Wishing you the greatest week.

  5. A lovely selection of words and videos today Linda, I really enjoyed the sewing machine one. My mum and dad gave me a child’s sewing machine for my tenth birthday; I loved it and had a lot of fun making doll's clothes.
That Golden Retriever is so gentle with the baby, really nice to see.
    Have a lovely week

  6. I could use the sewing machine in my younger days. Have not used for a long time - probably will not be able to get the thread through the eye of the needle anymore.

  7. Bonjour Linda,
Tout est joli et je viens de partager ta petite vidéo (le Golden avec le bébé)sur ma page Facebook.
    Belle journée à toi. Bises

  9. Hello Linda, the Golden Ret and baby video is adorable. It brought back memories of my when old Golden Daisy would lay under the crib waiting for my son to arrive home for the first time. Wonderful quotes and post. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!

  12. pairs mostly dogs with veterans. the time it takes to train the dog, makes them valuable and there are long wait lists.

  13. Bonitos vídeos me encanto el del perro y el niño.

  14. The video of the new baby and the golden retriever is just lovely Linda. The dog seems genuinely excited at the arrival - a new friend.

  15. Linda, It's always nice to see law enforcement officers getting credit for a job well done! It's sad how negatively a few bad apples can spoil the public's view of police in general so positive PR is always welcome. Love the golden retriever and the baby. The dog is so excited and curious all at the same time! Re: the PTSD the ex-soldier with the cat in the snowy wilderness. The "meals on wheels" effort feeding the troops in England was pretty nifty. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave

  16. Good morning, Linda! You make it tougher and tougher to single out only a few gems in your collections. They are all gems!
    Thank you, Linda!

  17. Have a Wonderful week Linda!

  18. Another superb post. I agree with David, but I also know that law enforcement personnel these days are often to be feared. Which is sad but true. Love that Golden. Those are the best dogs for kids! (And people like me!). And so many wonderful posters...some I'll cherish for a long time!

  19. I'm grateful more and more to have the chance to begin my week in such a stunning, beautiful, heartwarming way, cherished Linda, I'm thanking you from the bottom of my heart !

    XOXO Dany

  21. Hi Linda, loved today's videos and quotes. Fantastic police officer to go out of her way to learn sign language. A couple military friends of ours have PTSD and have had success with therapy pets. The golden retriever meeting the baby for the first time was very sweet.
Hope you are enjoying the long weekend!
    Take care.

  22. Hi Linda,
I think that you have made quite a few special videos this time.
A lot of fun and also old movies I've been having fun with.
The movie with the golden retriever and the dog was very annoying :-)

    Greetings, Helma

  23. Lovely videos. I liked much of that last cat on art work.

  24. Superbe, merci pour ce beau moment chère Linda! Bise, bon lundi tout en douceur!

  25. The police officer who uses sign language is very special in today's world. There is so much negative press about the police it is nice to see something positive. Some great quotes too.
Thanks for sharing and have s wonderful week.

  26. It's the little 'blog'moments..., Linda...

  27. The second video made me cry, friend L ... I am working with a serious PTSD war survivor client on overcoming ... even got my cat Theo involved to ease his pain ... but there is only so much I can do in order to not overstep my professional boundaries ... ya ... Anyway ... Love, always, cat.

  28. Oh, dear, this one is really resonating this morning: "Counting other people's sins does not make you a saint."

  29. I love the thought that, if nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies. The policewoman who took the time to learn sign language is a gem. And her fingers fly as if she's been doing it all her life. Ya gotta love the dog and the baby. May they grow up to be best friends.

  30. Hello Linda and Happy Monday Wishes.
That police officer, it's just great to go out of her way to learn sign language. The golden retriever dog meeting the baby for the first time was so sweet.
A great selection of quotes too.

    Enjoy your week

    All the best Jan

  35. My heart goes out to people with PTSD. I can only imagine the struggle. That's a beautiful video.

Always a good decision to visit your space. :)

  36. Post trauma therapies are very important to those who need them. I know some people who've greatly benefited from these therapies.

I may be wrong, but I'm under the impression that sewing machines haven't significantly evoluated since 1955.

"..let go of the past.." - I'm afraid that's just a slogan. There's no present or future without a past.

  37. My mom used to have a sewing machine too. It's such a handy gadget to have at home! xoxo

  38. The golden retriever's reaction to the baby is perfect. What a wagging tail!

  39. Golden retrievers are so beautiful 😍
