Hello everyone! A very warm welcome to you all! The videos I have chosen for this post are: Officer Goes Way Beyond Call of Duty in the Best Way
Soldiers Use These Uplifting Programs to Help with PTSD
Sewing Machine (1955)
Golden Retriever Meets Baby for the First Time (2K)
Eats for Lonely Men (1940)
For the following, I am providing the link sources beneath each photo. You just need to click on the images to see a larger view. The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it. - Richard Bach
Some people will only be there for you as long as you have something they need. When you no longer serve a purpose, they will leave. The good news is, if you tough it out, you'll eventually weed these people out of your life and be left with some great people you can count on. We rarely lose friends, we just gradually figure out who our real ones are. - Darren John Maxwell
Oh what an amazing feeling it is, when you finally set yourself free by letting go of the past and things you can't change. Just have to learn to let go of who you were, to progress into all you are meant to be...your best self!
When you listen to something alertly like the sound of rain for instance, in that moment of alertness you are then not distracted by your thoughts (which are usually negative, stressful and judgmental). In that moment of alertness you are focused on listening and peace can arise.
A lovely selection of words and videos today Linda, I really enjoyed the sewing machine one. My mum and dad gave me a child’s sewing machine for my tenth birthday; I loved it and had a lot of fun making doll's clothes. That Golden Retriever is so gentle with the baby, really nice to see. Have a lovely week
I could use the sewing machine in my younger days. Have not used for a long time - probably will not be able to get the thread through the eye of the needle anymore.
Hello Linda, the Golden Ret and baby video is adorable. It brought back memories of my when old Golden Daisy would lay under the crib waiting for my son to arrive home for the first time. Wonderful quotes and post. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week ahead!
Linda, It's always nice to see law enforcement officers getting credit for a job well done! It's sad how negatively a few bad apples can spoil the public's view of police in general so positive PR is always welcome. Love the golden retriever and the baby. The dog is so excited and curious all at the same time! Re: the PTSD programs...love the ex-soldier with the cat in the snowy wilderness. The "meals on wheels" effort feeding the troops in England was pretty nifty. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
Another superb post. I agree with David, but I also know that law enforcement personnel these days are often to be feared. Which is sad but true. Love that Golden. Those are the best dogs for kids! (And people like me!). And so many wonderful posters...some I'll cherish for a long time!
I'm grateful more and more to have the chance to begin my week in such a stunning, beautiful, heartwarming way, cherished Linda, I'm thanking you from the bottom of my heart !
Hi Linda, loved today's videos and quotes. Fantastic police officer to go out of her way to learn sign language. A couple military friends of ours have PTSD and have had success with therapy pets. The golden retriever meeting the baby for the first time was very sweet. Hope you are enjoying the long weekend! Take care. Robin
Hi Linda, I think that you have made quite a few special videos this time. A lot of fun and also old movies I've been having fun with. The movie with the golden retriever and the dog was very annoying :-)
The police officer who uses sign language is very special in today's world. There is so much negative press about the police it is nice to see something positive. Some great quotes too. Thanks for sharing and have s wonderful week.
The second video made me cry, friend L ... I am working with a serious PTSD war survivor client on overcoming ... even got my cat Theo involved to ease his pain ... but there is only so much I can do in order to not overstep my professional boundaries ... ya ... Anyway ... Love, always, cat.
I love the thought that, if nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies. The policewoman who took the time to learn sign language is a gem. And her fingers fly as if she's been doing it all her life. Ya gotta love the dog and the baby. May they grow up to be best friends.
Hello Linda and Happy Monday Wishes. That police officer, it's just great to go out of her way to learn sign language. The golden retriever dog meeting the baby for the first time was so sweet. A great selection of quotes too.

My heart goes out to people with PTSD. I can only imagine the struggle. That's a beautiful video.
ReplyDeleteAlways a good decision to visit your space. :)
Post trauma therapies are very important to those who need them. I know some people who've greatly benefited from these therapies.
ReplyDeleteI may be wrong, but I'm under the impression that sewing machines haven't significantly evoluated since 1955.
"..let go of the past.." - I'm afraid that's just a slogan. There's no present or future without a past.
My mom used to have a sewing machine too. It's such a handy gadget to have at home! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe golden retriever's reaction to the baby is perfect. What a wagging tail!
