Vintage Talc

I found some photos of vintage talc, and I really don't remember these particular ones, so if any of you do, please feel free to share your memories.
Even if you don't remember the ones I am sharing here, please share any memories you have on vintage talc.  I would enjoy hearing your memories.  Just click on the "comments" button at the end of my post.

I do remember Johnson's baby powder, Yardley talc and Avon's products.  However, I don't remember Johnson's baby powder like this!

I also found this vintage Colgate's talc powder and it makes me wonder if it is the same Colgate as the toothpaste.

Here is a talc from Nivea.  I have seen their products such as creams, lotions and lip balm, but I had never seen a talc until I found this vintage one.

Last for this post is the Palmolive after shaving talc...another thing I didn't know about until I saw this photo.

It is quite possible that these products were not sold here in Canada;  however, if they were, I really don't remember them.

Thanks so much for visiting me here and I look forward to hearing your memories!

I was born in'55. My mother kept a metal can (tin) of Johnson's baby powder, but the design was different. I suspect that the pictured powder was pre-50's. Do you remember tooth powder that came in a tin? Colgate & other companies made it to use for brushing teeth. You would pour about a half teaspoon of the powder into the palm of your hand, dampen the tooth brush, then rub the tooth brush through the powder & brush your teeth, dipping repeatedly until the toothpowder was all used.

    1. Hi Kim,

My goodness...yes! I do remember that tooth powder! As far as the photo I shared here of the Johnson's baby powder, it could very well be pre-50's. Thanks for sharing your memories!

  3. Talc is a big no-no in baby care these days. It used to smell so good.

Thanks for dropping by my blog! Love Montreal. I still have some family there.
