Vintage Toothpaste & Mouthwash

When I was growing up, I remember the following toothpaste products.  Colgate and Gleem were sold in tubes and in the format you will see in the photo.
Then there was Stripe toothpaste. (photo above)

I also remember Ultra Brite toothpaste...even the TV ads.  Here is a photo of how the toothpaste looked.
(bottom left)  Last but not least...Lavoris mouthwash.

Those are my memories for Vintage toothpaste and mouthwash.

  1. My husband found a tube of Ipana toothpaste in his Mom's dresser drawer which she had given us when we were first married.....I have not seen one since.

  2. Hi Wren! I came to your blog to thank you for the very sweet comment you left on my blog....I'm so glad you liked my little card.
I am impressed by your lovely blog. I recognize some of the brands you've mentioned, but I'm English, so there are some differences....took me back to the day, though...haaa!
    I, too, was a 50's baby...good decade, eh?
I read your "About Me" page.....brought a lump to my throat, because reminds me so much of my Mum.....she's 82 now, but also has been a slow learner, her whole life.
She still reads as a 5 year old, can only write her name, and depended heavily on my Dad, who passed 18 months ago.
But the point is, she has raised 4 children very successfully, has many loving friends, has a wonderful sense of humour and fun, and gives of herself, unconditionally! She's my inspiration, and the most wonderful mother, and grandma, and greatgrandma.
Good luck in your journey, Wren....I'll be following your progress.
