On a positive note, I do love the summer...but I have to admit that I love all 4 seasons. As for myself, I just need to be more careful in the summer because I am very affected by intense heat and humidity and can get sick if I am not careful. What I must do is to drink lots of water and make certain that I have a cool refuge...such as an air conditioned environment where I have a chance to cool down and to breathe with ease. Being in a cooler environment also helps me tremendously in that I get a lot less pain with the arthritis.
I thought it would be nice to share this post on ways to keep cool while still enjoying the summer. Drink plenty of water, I also try to eat plenty of fruits and veggies as well.
I am sharing some photos that I found on the internet that I found enjoyable, cool and refreshing...and I hope you all do as well!
As far as the sprinkler photos go, I know they are for children, but I am a child at heart and when it is especially hot outside I have been known to walk under one. LOL! :)
Gosh, I love this umbrella picture!!! I did not know it gets very hot in Canada! I have always thought of Canada as a cold country...kind of like Sweden is, never very hot. So I really learned something here! I have air conditioning, too, or I get quite sick. And I also only want to lve where there are all four seasons, it is so good to see then changing.
ReplyDeleteSummer can be treacherous here in Oklahoma, but air conditioning is ordinary here. The city also designates safe areas for cool shelter, for those who do not have air conditioning. Despite the preparation, a few die every year due to heat related illness.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the pictures, and it reminds me to focus on the positive side of summer, and weather in general. Playing in water is not just for kids! :) Nor are refreshments just for kids! Have a great Sunday, Linda.
Real cool images.
ReplyDeleteKids and water, the best combination for fun.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,

Its summer at late peak here and it’s true that senior citizen can’t bear the intense heat. Those photos are just cool at sight :)
ReplyDeleteTake care and pls avoid that anything cause heat to health.
I think we go from spring to autumn, Linda... Don't know if summer still exists here... Even spring is with question marks... !
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
We're fortunate that it doesn't often get dangerously hot up here on the Plateau, but once we get down from it hot, humid weather is the norm in summer. I have been known to walk through a sprinkler or two myself on a hot summer day.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could get some of heat, never mind. A great post.
ReplyDeleteYes we too get that kind of heat and always have high humidity. It is unbearable and many times people in the larger cities do die. Your photos you have chosen are wonderful. The food and drink really do make you feel cooler too when you see them.
ReplyDeleteLooking good way to keep cool, cool dude lol
ReplyDeleteNow posting Scottish Isles holiday.
The pink lemonade made my mouth water!
