Making a Difference

Some of us may think to ourselves, "What can I do to make a difference?"  More often than not it is something smaller and seemingly insignificant to us that makes such a great impact on others.  A kind word, and gentle touch, a hug, a smile...just being there to listen when someone needs us.  

Some people who have made (and who make) a difference are:  Mother Teresa, Princess Diana, Nick Vujicic, the list goes on.  For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Nick Vujicic, he is an Australian preacher and motivational speaker...who has no limbs.  That's right.  Here are a couple of photos of him.

He has gone to high schools and done speeches to the students and has touched many lives by his love, enthusiasm for life and resilience.  He has written a book entitled, "Life Without Limits."  For those of you who want to learn more about him, if you go to YouTube you will find many videos...they are very powerful and a great encouragement.

We will all die one day, this we know.  However, if we do our best to make a difference with the time and life that God has given us, the impact we have on others will live on, even after we are gone.
