One of my favourite artists is definitely Claude Monet. Since most people are familiar with his paintings I figured that I would choose other paintings that I like to share with you all...and that are perhaps less familiar.
I went to my doctor this week and he discovered that my blood pressure was dangerously high. He has given me some medication to regulate this...and also a prescription for the eczema. Thank you in advance for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts. I have another appointment with my doctor in two weeks.
I hope you enjoy these paintings that I found on the internet. As with my other posts I will add the name of the artist before each painting.
David Hockney
great paintings..
ReplyDeletei like monet painting as well...
maybe i should enjoy more artistic paintig from now...
Another of your lovely series of paintings.
ReplyDeleteIncredible art and painting Linda! Lovely
ReplyDeleteHope the blood pressure is back to normal. Take care
Happy Sunday :)
I'd have to say I like them all for different reasons. Don't think I'd hang any in my house, though as they don't fit our decor. But I enjoyed looking at them and appreciate the fact you posted them for us!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your high blood pressure and eczema. I'm sure your have medication for both. My last trip to the doctor, the nurse took my blood pressure and said it was 95 over 63 or something like that. I said, "That can't be right!" And she said, "Yes, it's kinda low." Then she walked out. Never did take it again. So when the doctor came in I explained things and she took it herself and it was in the normal range! Some people are really dumb and should not be in positions of responsibility! Even in a doctor's office you must look out for yourself and ask lots of questions!
Hi Lowell,
DeleteThanks so much for your comment. My doctor is very competent and he is the one who took my blood pressure...it was 175 over 100. :( I definitely ask questions and am fortunate to have a very patient, caring and understanding doctor...competent, too.
Me again. Fun to hear from you again. I'll look forward to your post tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas card with the cardinal and the kitties. Thanks for sharing these!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, I do like the cats.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, It's difficult to pick a favourite but I am a fan of David Hockney's work so think I will pick that one. I too love Monet's paintings.
ReplyDeleteOut of all your interesting posts since I last commented my favourite is 'Unlikely Animal Friends'. I also loved the touching photo of the man wading through floods carrying his dog on his back on an earlier post!
I do hope the medication helps with your problems. I too take tablets to regulate high blood pressure and as you know suffer from eczema (among other things!) Some nice, warm (not hot!) sunny weather would be good here, your 'rain' post was a little too close to home ;-) Since March we have had almost nothing but rain, rain and more rain! Like you I quite like it but not to this extent and long for some sunshine!!
I am really into calendar art. I give everyone in my extended family a calendar for Christmas. My favorites are the cats and animals of the Lang Calendar line.
ReplyDeleteCelia Pike's cats are beautiful but her calendar was published by a different company. The warm picture of the two cats is just priceless!
Linda. Gorgeous paintings and very cute once here... Love all the paintings.
ReplyDeleteHope u take care dear
Hugs
Shilpa
all of them are fantastic works by great artists! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThe cat one is so real, it looks like a photo! I have had high blood pressure and been on meds fr it for over 40 years now. I have gone through almost every blood pressure medicine there is over the years. Don't worry, it is easy to control, but you do have to take your medicine every day for as long as the doctor tells you.
ReplyDeleteI prefer 2, 3, and 4. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteNice paintings, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI keep you in my prayers...
Lie(f)s.
Beautiful. My favourite is by Charles Courtney Curran, superb.
ReplyDeleteJust fantastic, my preferences goes out to nr. 1,2 and 4.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
