It is starting to get hot, although today is thankfully bearable, and I am grateful for that. I have noticed, though, that I am starting to perspire (men sweat, ladies perspire, supposedly...LOL!), which I really don't like. When I start feeling the heat, I am more prone to getting arthritis pain, and I get exzema.
I thought it would be nice to share with you all some paintings and art that I like. I found these on the internet and hope you all enjoy them. I will mention the name of the artist above each piece. I have too many paintings I like to share them all in one post, so I will share some more favourites at a later time.
John Weiss
Greg Olsen
Greg Olsen
Philip Straub
Thomas Kinkade
Last one for this post...Grant Haffner
Thank you all so much for visiting me here! I hope you have enjoyed some of my favourite paintings that I am sharing here. Do you have any favourites from this group...if you like any at all? Who are your favourite artists? I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please click on the "comments" link at the end of my post to share.
I love these paintings!! I especially like the 2nd, 3rd and 5th ones- they are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them Linda!! Have a great night!
ReplyDeleteThe second one and the last one are my favorites!!
ReplyDeleteMore Jewels from the internet. Thanks Linda for illuminating my Sunday.
ReplyDeleteTous très talentueux...
ReplyDeletegros bisous
'k Was de hele week ondergedompeld in de Russische schilderkunst, Linda. Jouw lieve schilderijtjes kunnen er nog bij...
ReplyDeleteLie(f)s.
I like the first one of Greg Olsen of the old house and the last one by Grant Hafner.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful paintings! I have so much catching up to do on here Linda. I'm so far behind now on everyone's posts. Seems I come on just to upload some pics and leave a paragraph in my other blog and then I have to get off this darn chair. And with this new format I don't see other's posts and I forget to scroll down. Thanks for leaving comments on my blog. I appreciate it. I have a wicked back ache right now so have to get off. I'll be back soon to look at more of your posts. Have a nice Sunday.
ReplyDeleteTis hard to choose, I love them all, for their different looks of Art.
ReplyDeleteBeing a dog nut...the first, but the last intrigued me.
ReplyDeleteArthritis can sure take the fun out of a day! I love John Weiss's labradors. The older one appearing concerned and the little one, just curious. So typical of the difference between the generations.
ReplyDeleteI like the 1st and 2nd. I feel like the dogs are looking out over the ocean discussing existential philosophies (lol), which leads to my reason for liking the second photo ... I like the philosophy written alongside the idyllic setting. Me, you (Linda), and all here are like the puppies looking out on the ocean. :) Have a great week, Linda.
ReplyDeleteDelicious, I really like the last of Grant Haffner.
ReplyDeleteThey look magical, nice as usual.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a good eye.....I actually have the Thomas Kinkade one as a framed poster....it sits in my dining room, and I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these....I feel I "know" you a little better. :)
Loved all these pieces of art, but have been a fan of Thomas Kincade (the painter of light) for years. Somethinng about the dogs also grabs me. It's the senior passing his/her knowledge of the world on to the next generation, I think, that spoke to me. Thanks for posting these bright scenes.
ReplyDeleteNice, feel-good paintings. I really love the last one by Haffner.
ReplyDeleteYou have good taste, Linda. (Like I'm an art critic! LOL)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite among these is Philip Straub's 'Toadstool Corner.'
I like Van Gogh, Monet, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec myself. Guess I'm old fashioned.
We spent several days in St. Remi, Provence, France a few years ago. That was were Van Gogh admitted himself after he had cut his ear off. It was interesting seeing the olive trees, the hills, and fields that he painted. The sanitariam (sp?) is still there, very close to his olive grove.
We also visited the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum in 2009 at Albi (Southern France), his birthplace. It is noted for having the most of the Lautrec works at one place. Very enjoyable was our visit there.

Thank you all so much for your comments. I really appreciate it!
