3 Minute Countdown - Drive-In Intermission Classics
I am testing this to see if I can post a video AND text here...so please bear with me. I thought you might all enjoy this sort 3 minute video of vintage drive-in intermission classics. I attempted to put a video and text on my page when I was just new to Blogger and haven't tried it since...looks as if it is working.
I would really enjoy hearing your memories and thoughts on the old drive-in theaters. Please click on the 'comments' link at the end of my post to share. Thank you all so much for stopping by!

Well, Linda, your posting worked very well. And it brought back lots of memories. Lois Anne and I started dating in 1954! We visited many drive-in restaurants and drive-in movie theaters. Lots of fun back then. It was a different era and I think less stressful than today.
ReplyDeleteIt's good, can't wait for yours.
ReplyDeleteNot difficult to give mine! As far as I know we've never had any here.
ReplyDeleteI've never used drive ins....i saw them for the first time just before leaving France...adrive in McDo
ReplyDeleteSince my parents did not own a car and we relied on public transportation, I went to drive ins rarely with some friends. What I remember is the good hot food at the concession stand. I also recall the heater that was provided for each car in colder weather.
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of drive-in theaters. On Saturday nights, they had Dusk-to-Dawn night and would show three movies. After I had kids, we would bundle up the four little ones in pajamas, toss them in the back seat and go out to the drive-in for Buck Night. What a bargain!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for your show now, Linda !
