My Zoom in Photos

Over the last few days I have been playing a lot with the zoom in feature on my Kodak Easyshare camera.  Thus far haven't really liked the results...that is until I saw these.  I was quite happy with the way these turned out and I hope you all are as well.  I am not using a tripod, but I have changed the way I hold the camera, which is helping me tremendously.
I came across a heron again as well as some Canada geese and ducks.

Thank you all so much for visiting me here.  I really appreciate and look forward to hearing your thoughts.  Please click on the 'comments' link at the end of my post to share.

  3. These are all excellent, Linda. It's not easy to get sharp photos with a point-and-shoot. But you did it. I always try to steady my camera on a bench or tree branch, etc. It usually helps.

  4. The red boat is lovely. I try to steady my camera arm on something, even my side, to keep the pictures sharp. Not that I succeed admirably.

  5. Glad you had more success. The others have said it too, rest your elbows on a fence or tree, also hold your breath when you press the shutter.

  7. Some really great images here. I'm rather envious of what you can do with a hand held camera - I'm struggling with the nuisance of a tremor these days. Thanks for posting these.

  9. Some really beautiful shots through zoom! The geese ones are good.

  10. Lovely shots of the waterbirds, Linda. I sometimes use a beanbag to rest my camera on if I'm having trouble getting steady handheld shots. Of course, you then need something to rest the beanbag on...
