Don't it always seem to go....

I realize that the title in my post isn't good grammar...but I did it on purpose because I was quoting the song by Joni Mitchell of so long ago.  "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got till it's gone."
Sad but very often true.  I watch Cesar Millan's TV program on the National Geographic Channel "The Dog Whisperer" and I really appreciate his way.  So often he mentions about dogs (and animals in general) "living in the moment."

Too often today people are so rushed in the hustle and bustle of daily life that they often forget to take time to enjoy...and live in the moment.  They often say "I will do it tomorrow"...well, many things can be put off and done the next day.  And should be.  There are some things that are good to not put off until the next day.  A kind word, a warm hug, a few moments to talk to our family and friends...these are things that are very good for us to do...not put off, as we really don't know if we HAVE tomorrow.

As I write this I am feeling particularly blessed to have wonderful friends, both face to face and online, and I want you all to know how much I appreciate and value you all.

I am having a little setback in my health at this time, but I wanted to make sure that I made this post and not put it off.
Just to briefly mention that the health issues are intestinal, and most likely related to the diverticulitis I had last month.  Thank you all for keeping me in your prayers and thoughts.

Sending you all love and hugs...thank you so much for visiting me here and for your comments, which you can always share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my posts.

  1. An attack of diverticulitis can take some time straightening itself out; don't rush it, take it easy and the other things your doctor said. We'll be here when you get back.

  2. My wife used to watch the dog whisperer, too, and I liked to watch it with her, but she doesn't seem to watch it anymore for some reason. Hope you get to feeling better. I'll start praying for you again.

  15. That is true about not knowing what you've got before its gone. Looking back at my old photos I can't get over what a good body shape I had but in those days I didn't think I had I didn't realise how lucky I was. I hope your health improves soon.
