Brisk Walk on a Cold Evening

First of all, I am overwhelmed and very happy that I now have more than 100 followers.  Thank you all so much for visiting me here as often as you do, it means so much to me that you are interested in my blog.  A heartfelt thanks to you all!

Thankfully I don't mind the cold weather.  As long as it is not minus 20 or lower I am fine and actually enjoy the cold, fresh air.  I went for a walk this evening up to Montreal's Mount Royal.  St. Joseph's Oratory, to be exact, which is the photo you see in my header.  The photos I took tonight were inside the oratory, as my night photos are still not very good.  There is a shuttle that takes people up to the main entrance...for those who wish to use it.  It is free, but they welcome donations for the upkeep and gas costs.  St. Joseph's Oratory is free to visit as well and gets millions of visitors!

So...I hope you all enjoy the photos I took on this walk.

Boss of workers.  (patron des travailleurs)

The last six photos....I took these in the area where there is a dining room that you can order a lunch if you want to.  In that section of the oratory there is a gift shop, showcases as you see above and pay telephones and vending machines.

I hope you have all enjoyed this tour from my brisk walk this evening!  I really appreciate and enjoy reading your thoughts, which you can always share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  2. Nice work. I'm not much on religion but I enjoy places like this. And pay phones? Wow, I haven't seen any of those in a long time! Your interior shots came out very well. I'll bet it smells a bit of incense? Non?

Re your comment on the time of day the photo of the last twin home was taken: Your guess was good, but it was actually taken early in the morning as I was on my way to work. We live in a twin home in Stone Creek which is a 55 + community in southwest Ocala. It's a nice place to be.
