Tour Around Berlin In 1929

Hi everyone!  I decided to leave the title of my post for today as is, as it is the name of the video I am sharing.  It is a neat and short video of 3 minutes, and it has nice music and gives a tour around Berlin in 1929.  I hope you all enjoy this journey into the past.  I thought the video was very well done.

I went for my walk today...I found it actually warmer today than yesterday, even though I wore gloves in the beginning, I ended up taking them off, as the sun was warm and nice.  Although I took a nice long walk, I didn't take many photos, as I didn't find very much that I felt worth photographing.  LOL!  :)  Two of the photos are of a catholic church that is decked out for Christmas, and the other two photos are of a funeral home (exterior).  Hope you enjoy them.
A Cool Sunny Day

Thank you all so much for stopping by!  I really appreciate and enjoy reading your thoughts, which you can always share by clicking on the 'comments' link at the end of my post.

  1. It was a beautiful old city, but I couldn't help remembering the pictures of bombed-out post-Hitler Berlin. What a loss.

    1. Indeed. This is exactly why I posted this video...to see how things were before the horrors took place.

  2. Looks like a nice, sunny day for your walk. 1929 was not a particularly good year in Berlin and it's hard to look at this video and not think of how, even in 1929, Jews were being persecuted, and how, in just a few years, the Berlin and Germany were consumed by an evil that cause millions of deaths and horrible pain and suffering and destruction.

  7. Great video of 1929 video and I love the old music. I shall go look at your photos now. When we went for a walk we noticed one day how much warmer it was than the previous day, though still pretty chilly here.

  9. Very interesting looking at life in Germany between the 2 wars, set to jaunty music. All looks so innocent. Who would have known ....

    Thanks for posting.

  12. My mom who grew up around that area would have been 11bat the time. I was lucky to see where she grew up in 2000 when my daughter and I did a trip together.
